Yes, not seeing a 6’5” 260lb TE and no defender within 8 yards is salt, not to mention the QB was closer to him than 7 defenders who were at Delilah’s, but that’s salt?
Go ahead and hug his sack, while the rest of us hope the idiot GM finds an actual QB who doesn’t consistently limit the offense, with poor decisions, and a weak arm.  He has won two games all season with his arm, Atlanta and the WFT, that’s it!   If you believe Howie and Jeff don’t know this as fact, you’re a fool as well.

F dude. Go look up some bone headed decisions by some of the best qbs in the nfl. Its almost as if only hurts is capable of doing it and nobody else?

I agree hurts needs work. But the guys also helping us win games. Calm your boobs.

Doesn’t matter who’s the QB if the Oline can’t block, the WR’s can’t get open, the coaches can’t coach and the GM can’t identify talent.

  • So we had to listen to an entire week of "He runs too much".   What will the talking points be this week?  Jalen and this Team can win in multiple ways.  Stop trying to put him in some box where he on

Overall, today was a step backwards after a great game last week.

That first half was just terrible, outright terrible. What I did like though was the perseverance he showed by staying with it and having a very solid second half.

But against any half decent offense, that sort of a first half should have put us in a far bigger hole. Let’s not kid ourselves, the fact that we played Fromm and Glennon today had a lot to do with why we were even in a position to overcome that pathetic start. Need to be a lot better the next two weeks

Did everyone forgot that they were playing on a very short week?

Look at Stafford today - he was awful against the Vikings. They fixed the issue at halftime. Seattle has started out ok but it is snowing in Chicago which is always an equalizer. The big difference is that both of those teams had their coaches all week.

It is not a shock that they started out like crap against a divisional opponent.

Sorry wrote that from my phone and didn't edit it - I meant to say that it is snowing in their game against Chicago.

Regardless of what you think about how he has played. It’s hard not to like this guy and root for him to continue to get better and succeed

I root for our offense to have a passing game.  That means rooting for our idiotic management to have it thrown in their face that Hurts is horrible.

I watched the TV condensed version to see what went wrong with the offense. Here's what I found.

Bad plays by Hurts - The almost INT on the first drive, the fumble on the second drive, the pass as he was being tackled on the third drive, a miss to Sanders on the fourth drive.

Plays open to criticism - The miss to Goedert in the end zone (Sirianni said he isn't part of the progression). A goal line throw to Smith in double coverage.

I counted four drops and three tipped passes.

We had four offensive penalties, two of which stalled drives in the red zone (a hold wiped out a Goedert TD).

Hurts ended with 17 completions on 29 attempts. Of the incompletions, seven were dropped or tipped.

On the deep passes to Smith and Watkins, if people are criticizing those, I don't know what to say. At some point the wrs have to be expected to make plays in single coverage. There's literally a contested catch stat. Smith obviously had a fantastic catch in the end zone, but credit Hurts for throwing it in there.

He had four really bad plays, which is obviously not ideal, but far from the disaster many people made it out to be. He's not going to wake up one day and be Tom Brady or Patrick Mahomes. But I thought today he was able to shake off his bad play early on and finish the game strong.

As an offense, we have too many mistakes, which will hurt us against better teams. Too many drops, too many penalties that wipe out big plays and, yes, bad qb decisions. Everyone has to get better, which should happen as they gain experience.

Good result. But let's not kid ourselves. He didn't have a great game.

After a bad first half by virtually everybody that had an opportunity to make a play, I was willing to settle for an ugly win. Fortunately, the team completely turned things around after the half and put the game away. It appeared to me that Hurts was limping a bit early in the game and couldn't run (like normal). I think the defense noticed this too and it affected how they played the read option.

As a whole, this wasn't what I was hoping to see, but rebounding from a dismal 1st half (that reminded me of the 2020 Eagles) was good to see. I wasn't sure this team had it in them to make such a big turnaround after halftime. You have to believe that the team leaders played a role in that.

The problem isn’t Hurts.  Anyone with a sense of objectivity knows what he is and isn’t at this point.  It’s that the coach and management have been seduced by a backwards 1980’s style offense with no threat to pass that offers zero long term upside for competing in the playoffs.

I'm glad some fans can still be miserable while others are happy to have a winning record again. Everybody wins!

I root for him to get the freak out any way necessary as soon as possible. He is an anchor for this team and if he goes out they will be better off.

I see it more as having higher standards than you, but tomatO tomAto.

Yeah it is. That POS missed a wide open DG in the endzone. He sucks. That's on him and his inability to see the field. He's an anchor.

We have passed the point of any of this being on Hurts.  It's the people who choose to design the offense around him.  I'm done criticizing Hurts.  It's not his fault that he's constantly put in the position of being a qb.

Funny and poignant… A 4 win team has double its win total and now controls its own destiny to the playoffs bouncing back from a 2-5 start yet some people are still upset about it. 🙄

strong majority of fanbases across the NFL would be very, very upset if they were suddenly told that Hurts was the future for their QB position and franchise...regardless of last year's record, this year's record, or the outcome of their last game.  But you guys just want to be happy for climbing to .500 against practice squad QB's.

Like I said, it's a question of standards.

I question anyone who is angry that their 4 win time has climbed out the cellar into a playoff contender in less than a year. I see though. People like you would rather have Minshew out there completing 65% of his passes, but the team going nowhere, you ASSume that is progress.

Again, you keep talking about 4 wins last year, which is basically an acknowledgement of your low standards.  How many fans in the NFL would be happy if they were told that their starting QB (no, not their COVID reserve QB) just was just replaced by Jalen Hurts for present and future?  They'd mostly be miserable...just like a collection of Eagles fans who have to suffer through watching him kick the ball around every week.  But because of last year, your standards are very, very low.

Low standards? What you thought this was a Suoer Bowl team before the year started? Are you daft? And your missing the quarterback who won you 3 games last year? Who really has the "low standards” here? Also if you think the Giants fans would be "miserable” if they were in the playoff hunt right now you’re truly clueless.

I wanted Wentz out, so that's a totally separate argument.
