We don't even think about extending Hurts now. Let him start 2022 and try and add an extra first or second for 2023, when there is meant to be a better class.

See what Hurts does next year and then can take a view.

Hurts isn't eligible for a new contract now anyway.

Doesn’t matter who’s the QB if the Oline can’t block, the WR’s can’t get open, the coaches can’t coach and the GM can’t identify talent.

  • So we had to listen to an entire week of "He runs too much".   What will the talking points be this week?  Jalen and this Team can win in multiple ways.  Stop trying to put him in some box where he on

Yeah very true. I guess the point is that we can take his time with him and if we are still not sure either way after next year, we can even keep him on his rookie deal for a 4th year.

Right.

Hard to argue with that

Does Howie win executive of the year just for making that one move?

I dont think so. Reagor and JJ is enough to knock him back behind a few candidates.

Reagor and JJ were previous season picks. Only moves that matter are the ones from this past offseason. New coach, rookies playing effectively, a playoff team, and that trade.

Yes but those players are just an ever lasting pain. Until he dumps them and replaces with someone serviceable, he gets no vote from me, yet.

Eagles-Buccaneers analysis: Too little, too late from Jalen Hurts and Co. in 28-22 loss to Tampa Bay

To Be the Best.  You have to beat the Best.   Jalen's First Playoff Game is against one of the Greatest and the Defending Super Bowl Champions.   Well he got a preview already earlier in the season.  We are a different team now.   Everyone is 0-0.

But he had to spend another 1st at the position to fix it, so it applies to this year.

I don’t think you make the vote though bud. 😂

Did this preseason Magazine Cover ironically Predict Jalen V Brady:

Isn't if funny how the beanbaggers trash Hurts, but have you heard any teammate on or off the record say anything negative about him? Meanwhile the Baggers continue to praise their god, but he's now been criticized on two different teams. I know Saturday isn't a current player, but it is obvious people in that organization are not happy with that guy.

Hurts being picked #53 has already been worth it for the sole fact that it helped expedite Wentz's exit.

Carson is the most emotionally and mentally fragile QB I have ever seen, put any kind of pressure on him, on the field or in the lock-room, and he folds.

Good F'in Riddance.

Losing to the Bucs in his first playoff experience won't be so bad. I think they're going to have a lot better showing than they did the first time these teams met.

"Eleventh!

That's a tremendous result for a second-round pick, and for a guy who just finished his first year as a clear-cut starting QB.

Hurts finished directly behind Patrick Mahomes, one of the best QBs in the NFL and someone many believe will finish among the best QBs of all time.

He also finished ahead of...

  • Mac Jones (14), a rookie who impressed a lot of smart football people

  • Lamar Jackson (16), a former MVP and one of the most electric QBs in football

  • Derek Carr (17), a routinely solid starting QB

  • Russell Wilson (19), the guy many - myself included! - throughout the year hoped would be a trade target this offseason

  • Carson Wentz (20), the guy Hurts replaced

  • Baker Mayfield (24), a former No. 1 overall pick with far superior talent around him….”

Sure seems like some people think a lot more about Hurts than certain Eagles fans. Best part is how he’s ranked higher than the guy he replaced. 😂

Dude, stop being a Beanie Meanie!  We have feelings, too.

I don't believe in moral victories but Yes some could say as long as he plays well it could be a win/win.  Playoff experience and he's a Pro Bowl Alternate.  Donovan beat the Bucs in his first playoff game but lost to the Giants who went to the Super Bowl that year.   Jalen drew arguably the Hardest Playoff Debut in NFL History.  His first Playoff, the Defending Champs and the QB with the most rings at their house.   You know what's funny?  Jalen is such a competitor that I believe he wouldn't want it any other way.   I love the timing too.  4 Years since St. Nick.  Now another former Eagles Backup is back to take down Brady.   Let's Go.

Saturday had to say something because wentz is too damn sensitive to hear it from his coaches.

Jalen will be ready and will be relishing the opportunity. That isn't to say it'll be enough but he's going to be ready for this.

So, no Ike today on WIP.  His replacement, ESP. He and Marks were just saying how they don’t have a problem with Gannon and that the lack of sacks from the front 4 isn’t on Gannon.  I knew those two hipster twinks knew nothing about football before, but even that is a little much.

Yea, when the back 7 plays a soft zone making it hard for the front 4 to get home, that’s on the scheme.  That’s on the DC.

You are questioning a guy with a pretty good defensive mind.

If I was Siri, I'd find out how ready he is.  I'd run him until he loses a couple of limbs.  He has all offseason to recover.
