He underthrew Goedert in the Seattle game that allowed the defender to make a play on the ball. Of course we saw him overthrow Jeffery last year too so there’s that. He also overthrew Jackson earlier in the year too. Apparently big arm is more important than accurate passes to the Wentz cult. Accuracy has never been a strength of his. We’ve seen that since his rookie year and it never really improved. Shame.

I was listening to the radio last night and I found out after his college season Hurts went to a quarterback clinic to change and develop his mechanics. He wanted to get better. Meanwhile have you ever heard of Wentz doing such things? He still has his same windup. Same bad feet mechanics and I have never heard of Wentz looking for any type of help on his crappy mechanics not even brining in a guru to help improve over the offseason. In fact he’s told us over and over again he’s not changing this year in all his press conferences. As long as he thinks everything is fine he’s a lost cause.

No player is in a position where they can't improve. Heck, even Tom Brady (after years in the league and already having achieved the GOAT status) went to see a QB guru to help with certain parts of his game. Not sure why Wentz doesn't ... it is ego? Just stubborn?

Apparently it doesn’t sound like he was there very long and the Eagles don’t seem to like the people he went to. Very interesting read. There are a lot of stories about Wentz giving push back to change, but there are also stories about him being one of the hardest workers too. In any case he needs to change and work hard on developing his weaknesses. I hope he spends less time trying to be like Favre and work on his accuracy.

I think he works hard with film study and working with receivers. But, I don't get the impression that he likes to work on mechanics. I think he just wants to sling it around and not be restricted by structure.

Every play can’t be a roll out. I agree on the mechanics. When things break down around Carson it’s the first thing that goes. He’s going to do the things that got him there. Ultimately those are also the things that have gotten him hurt over the years and are part of the reasons he’s struggling now. Maybe this benching fixes him. With that being the case he’s opened the door for Hurts and I don’t think he’s simply happy with being Carson’s backup. He doesn’t have any plans on giving Carson his job back.
December 13, 20204 yr He better get ready. Saints are going to bring the heat. They rush the passer well.

With Hurts, his most recent Oklahoma highlights show him as someone who is pretty strong from the legs up, so much so that he doesn't need to generate much force from his legs. It's pretty effortless how he can chug the ball all things considered. I think we need YouTube videos of incomplete passes to make the case.

December 13, 20204 yr It will be interesting to see how the Rookie does against the NFL top defense. The O line is in for a long day.

Yeah, and hand in hand with he's holding the ball too long. If the throws a pick or two, it'll be poor footwork, poor accuracy and poor recognition of the defense.

December 13, 20204 yr Am rooting for him. He just may need to get the ball out quick and/ or take off to avoid the pressure. Maybe MJ will spy him. Wouldn’t that be ironic if Hurts torched him in space.

The Saints are good against the run, they can also leave their corners on an island on the outside thus allowing them to also spy Hurts. It's going to be a really tough and long day for Hurts i fear.

Just quit it man, it's pathetic. A rookie in his first start against a great defense vs. a 5 year veteran, $100 million former MVP candidate. Wentz has been HORRIBLE this year, even the team recognized it and benched him. And yes the O line and receivers and coaching have contributed. But Wentz sucked with all his starters too.
