Jalen Hurts - shoulder sprain injury; expected for playoffs

I know you are trolling, but it is ridiculous to throw race in when most have 3-4 black QBs in their top 10-15.... It's Hurts game style and film that make us dislike his game, not his damn pigment

It's still unfair criticism and it happens all the time with Black QB's.  One could look at Allen's first two seasons of tape and have the same boneheaded conclusion. Sure he has a strong arm, but he can't read a defense. He runs too much, is indecisive, he's inaccurate, and he holds onto the ball too long - he'll never improve due to his poor play. Just read the article below. Same criticisms Hurts receives, yet Allen was given a more hopeful wait and see approach, yet with Hurts it's already a done deal.

Nope.  Shutting down conversation by throwing around the race card is just lazy.   But it worked.  I won't be discussing Hurts in this thread any more with you.

THANK YOU!

Doesn’t matter who’s the QB if the Oline can’t block, the WR’s can’t get open, the coaches can’t coach and the GM can’t identify talent.

  • So we had to listen to an entire week of "He runs too much".   What will the talking points be this week?  Jalen and this Team can win in multiple ways.  Stop trying to put him in some box where he on

Yeah.  I'm a racist.  Got it.  Thanks.

Could there be a quicker way to end a legitimate discussion? It's so lazy and tired to just throw out criticism of Hurts as racism.

I'm just glad that I got him to accept his truth. That's a big win and a huge first step taken. Kudos to him 😄

Yep, everybody who disagrees with you is racist.

You're the most racist person on these boards.

The truth I accepted was that you aren't worth the time to discuss things with, because you can't have an honest discussion about reality and have to create something to support your position.  There was no 'win' here.   Society loses when discussions are shut down due to the inability of people like you to engage in discussion without race baiting, etc.

It's not unfair when a coach is caught on tape saying he can't read a defense. That wasn't the board saying that, it was a man paid to dissect QBs and their strengths and weaknesses. I personally think Hurts has more than enough smarts to get learn how, but he has shown an attitude about adjusting his game in interviews. When asked about changing his mechanics he scoffed. When asked about his tendency to roll right, he said he just runs the plays he is given. So much different than Lamar. Lamar came out, called himself out, and said he would come back and be a better passer....led the league in touchdown passes the next year. In the league right now I would take Mahomes, Prescott, Jackson, Wilson, Watson without the problems , and possibly Winston over Hurts. Why? I respect what they bring as quarterbacks. Winston definitely iffy though lol

I've seen him take accountability and state that he needs to improve in areas. Plus we've seen countless teammates and his HC state how he's improved. I mean, I guess the narrative is now he doesn't want to improve? Ok

Regressing I see. Breathe, take a look in the mirror, and say "I can change."

One is an undersized QB with an average arm, the other is the prototypical NFL quarterback with a massive arm.

And about your race baiting, I AM NOT A JALEN HURTS fan, does that make me racist ??

I wanted to replace Jalen Hurts with Russell Wilson or Deshaun Watson, am I still racist ??

I would draft CJ Stroud or Anthony Richardson if the opportunity was there, am I still racist ??

I would also draft Will Levis or Tyler Van Dyke, am I racist again ??

You are definitely trolling at this point. It's a few days before the season starts so I get it. You just aren't good at it. You are like that dude that tries to add to a dead joke and everyone just brushes off. Wouldn't be shocked if you've had a lot of practice with that in real life by the way you post

Completely racist

You're way out of line here and I hope the Mods notice it.  Jalen Hurts doesn't have the arm or talent that Josh Allen has.  If you want to compare a young QB to Josh Allen, go with Malik Willis.  Although he is a lot shorter than Allen, he can run and has a ridiculous arm and also went to a smaller program like Allen.  The race baiting and projection has to stop.  Jalen Hurts is closer to Tim Tebow than Josh Allen.  Tebow was a leader and had intangibles too.  But he also sucked in the passing game.

Notice what, that I said Hurts is receiving unfair criticism? I only brought up his race because it does happen a lot of with Black QB's. They're often praised for their athleticism and criticized over their intelligence. I never said he was racist, and I'm trolling him because he's whining about being labelled one. He's got the maturity level of a child. You know, you can bring up race without implying racism. I don't know why Black QB's are often harshly criticized. Maybe their style of play just isn't preferred, maybe the "they're dumb" narrative from the past is too drilled into fans heads, but I really can't say for certain why.  I can't explain why one would cast Hurts as a failure yet thinks the world of a failure in Carson Strong. But I guess Patrick Mahomes is an idiot race baiter too 😄

Just stop. You’re digging yourself a hole here. Race baiting has no place in genuine football discussion and is a weak cop out. It’s so sad what the world has come to today.

it is sad that one could read what I typed and interpret it the way you did, lol.

Brady was a better pocket passer than Nick Foles in the SB, yet he lost. I still win 😄

Patrick Mahomes, another QB I would take in a second.  Why ??  Because he has an NFL arm and can make all the throws.  He also did not need multiple rookie seasons to learn how to play in the NFL.

He threw 35 passes as a rookie, then threw for 5000 yards and 50 TD's in his second rookie year.

Any reasonable person who reads everything you’ve posted today would interpret the same. It’s pretty blatant and it’s ruining these boards. Take that elsewhere.

I named like 5 QBs in everyones top 15 who are black and he ignored it. It's obvious he is a troll at this point

Because if you' read the article I posted, even he says he's criticized for his "streetball" play when plays break down. It even goes into other players round the league, but of course you'll ignore it because it doesn't help your argument. again, I still win in our other argument 🙂

Nick Foles made the plays in the 4th quarter and Brady did not.

Tell us the success of the run first QB's in the 2017 playoffs.

What QB's did you list? Sorry, I was busy trying to help a fellow board member out.

I WIN!
