Why cause he looked decent in one game? Nope. He's still the guy who will get smacked by the Bucs again just like last year. There is no massive jump or improvement regardless of how much over hype there will be after tonight.

I don't like over hyped people who suck when it counts. That's Hurts. He's still the QB who sucked against the Bucs and he is the reason this team won't win something,and games like this prevent them from moving on to someone who will ultimately help them win. He will get them into the playoffs, they will lose the first game, and then the Eagles will say we have to bring him back because we won the division and were so close, when in actuality they aren't with him.

 

Played with instinct and poise tonight. He was more explosive passing the ball. Yet, conservative using his legs. Spread the ball around to all his weapons. Miles with another strong game. Slay was shutdown tonight. Dline did their job. Penalties continue to be an issue early in the season.

Hurts looked as good as ever tonight. Lions blitzed and he made them pay. Vikings sat back and he made them pay

Very impressed by him so far this year 

By far the best game of Hurts' career. Showed real promise as a possible long term solution. Obviously there are a lot of games still to play and things can change

Overhyped players who sucked when it counts. You mean like McNabb, Vick and Randall, all the guys you cited as QBs you liked. Got it. Hey, how come you only compared Hurts to the Birds black QBs? 

The Vikings did a good job of taking the Hurts runs away and he helped the team win with his arm. 

So are we mad about this game or happy? Asking that h8 squad. Oh and don’t give me the one game talk. Just are you happy or not with the guy’s performance tonight.

I’m nowhere near a huge Hurts fan but damn did he look impressive tonight. Why be pessimistic and hate on the guy if you’re a fan?

I'm still not sure if he can be THE guy worth 100+ million dollars, but that was a great game he played.

Especially promising was his throws over the middle. Probably helps that he was playing against a defense that read Gannon's book on how to lose games.

They are happy with the win, but mad that Hurts didn't suck.

Because  I'm sticking to my opinion of him and not changing it because he beat a team most of us thought he would easily beat before they had a good week one. Said the same thing after the Falcons game last year when people started fapping.

You're being ridiculous. I've been critical of Hurts as well and I still believe there was plenty of reason for criticism. However, if you can't acknowledge that he played decent (not great, but pretty good) in week one, and he dominated tonight, then I don't know what to tell you. I still need to see more to fully believe, but he's certainly looking better right now than the QB we saw in the playoffs last year.

He picked the Vikings apart. They wanted to play zone and force him to beat them with his arm and he did that. The bomb to Watkins was a fantastic read/throw. He was really impressive tonight

I said he played decent. He's still not a QB who they will ever win with and I don't like him.

It’s weird to think a qb can’t improve in his second full year as a starter in the league and that his absolute ceiling is how he played in one game his first full year.
