Nobody expects the Eagles to go 17-0. Most fans expect the Eagles to win at least 10 games this season. That still means there will be letdowns like most teams have each season. But it's irrational to continue to claim Hurts can't throw. He's passing very well in 2 out of 2 games so far. It doesn't bother me that you don't like the guy, but trying to rationalize your hate for him by claiming he's not playing well (or better than last season) is ludicrous. As I alluded to earlier, Tampa supposedly showed the world the "blueprint" to beating Hurts, but it doesn't seem to be working now ... for good reason.

I didn't say he isn't playing well. I said he's not a QB who will ever win. He's holding back a team I think could win. My biggest issue is they will bring him back next year as well, so they will be in limbo until he is gone. Could the defense end up having the talent to carry him? Maybe, but they still have some weaknesses that I'm not sure could cover what we saw against the Bucs, which is what I expect to happen again this year after they win the division.

I think the OL and defense will be good along with the skill people. I know what I see with him that isn't doom and gloom.

Let me put it in terms you can "hopefully" grasp. He is miles better than Foles was. And he won our only championship. He is clearly better. So...ya.

He's better than normal Foles. Foles had a level that only comes out once in a while that Hurts can't get to with those dime passes in the SB.

I’m loving this hurts performance and am super encouraged by it, but to say he’s better than Foles at this point is weird

The real racist people keep making it about race. Every good QB the Eagles have had since the late 80s have been mobile QB, so that doesn't fly.

Barkley was never a starter here, and few here even know Rodney Pete played for us (and based on some of the posts you’ve made, I would assume you were in that group). 
 

So your point is you thought Vick was going to win something with us somehow but Hurts can’t on a significantly better team?
