I don't know, I take it as pretty genuine with Hurts, as he seems pretty devout. I didn't see it as one of those "bless your heart" backhanded expressions. Like, I'm sure he's trying to get a rise out of people, but at the same time, he doesn't really seem like the resentful type, just a guy who will bet on himself.

I'm sure years from now some Eagles fan will say "Hurts never got over the criticism in Philly" and point to this hoody as an example of his pettiness. 😂

Doesn’t matter who’s the QB if the Oline can’t block, the WR’s can’t get open, the coaches can’t coach and the GM can’t identify talent.

  • So we had to listen to an entire week of "He runs too much".   What will the talking points be this week?  Jalen and this Team can win in multiple ways.  Stop trying to put him in some box where he on

Lolololol !!!

Seriously though, if I hated my "favorite teams” starting quarterback as much as you hate Hurts, I’d just find a different team to root for.

Not even kidding… birds are 4-0, looking solid in just about every phase and you are legit beside yourself in anger watching Jalen Hurts lead the team. Just move on, would ya? Cowgirls and G-nats are both 3-1… just saying.

Or he roots for the team and hates the QB. Players come and go. That doesn't mean you can't be a loyal fan.

I would take the potential Lawrence has over Hurts or Carr. He could also be playing in the NFL long after Hurts is gone. Not many running QB last past their early 30s. Not Vick, McNabb, even Wilson. It takes a toll on the body.

Also, switch their helmets on Sunday and you really believe Hurts would have done much better with the weapons they have and their OL? Have to grade on a curve. Hurts has the best OL in football, one of the top 3 WR in the league, a PB TE, and two other good WR. That doesn't mean he didn't play well, but the kid doesn't have a team around him that compares.

Yeah, that’s fine… but stfu then.

Not many QB's last past their early 30's in general.  The league becoming more QB friendly has allowed guys to play longer, which is why Brady and Rodgers are still going strong.  If they played during the 80's and early 90's, they'd have retired seasons ago lol

OK, and how many running QB drafted from the late 90s when Brady was selected until now are still playing past 34? I'll make it easier and ask how many have played past 34 since then? Wilson may get there, but he isn't playing well enough to win. I also wouldn't consider him a running QB, but I'm trying to make it easier for your side.

Wilson was definitely a running QB for a good portion of his career, but he played smart, always sliding or getting out of bounds.

Meh... he was much more a scrambler than a runner.  In his career he topped 10 carries in a game 15 times - 10+ years.

By comparison... Hurts has 11 10+ carry games already in his career.  Lamar Jackson already had 33 games.

Yeah Wilson was an expert at extending the play but still making a pass. He'd buy time rather than take off.

Meh, he was definitely a guy who only ran as a last resort, but he ran plenty. He regularly had 500 or more rushing yards early in his career. He's really the only QB I've ever seen that seemed to find the happy medium between being a pocket passer and a runner. If Hurts can find that kind of groove, I'd be ecstatic.

I thought @rstarter was him or did someone create that name that's not him?

Wilson didn't have an Oline for the longest time

Seems like him based on the posts.

I don't even know if he ever did. They criminally neglected the offensive line in Seattle.

That's cute lol glad to see your loyalty is QB deep. I actually said he will be brought up top 8 at this pace at the end of the season. I just happen to think he is annoying af. Sorry I made fun of your celebrity crush dude.

Maybe one day he will wear a shirt just for you...or maybe borrow your hoodie!

"But since we’re pretty close, let’s take a look at position-by-position grades from the first four games of the season. The Eagles are 4-0 and still have plenty of room for growth. It could be a very fun season.

This is a scientific process following a very unscientific one. I hand out letter grades to each Eagles position group after each game and then I simply plugged them into this grade calculator(weighing all games equally) and there we have it.

Let’s see what these positions have done four games in:

Quarterback

Grades by game: A-, A+, A, B+

Jalen Hurts: 82/123 (66.7%), 1,120 yards, 4 TDs, 2 INTs; 53 attempts, 205 yards, 3 TDs

Hurts has been spectacular through four games. I gave him a B+ in that last game because his numbers weren’t great and his pick-6 was a big blunder. That’s the only reason he has that minus next to his A and, in hindsight, I don’t feel great about that. Hurts deserves to have an A through four games. He’s a legitimate MVP candidate. Last year, it felt like the Eagles won games with Hurts as their quarterback; this year they’re winning games because he’s their quarterback.

Grade: A- (3.83)”

Be honest… who’s your favorite team?

I would guess you to be a giants fan…

Like I said... he didn't run frequently compared to the ones who are running now.  10+ runs a game 15 times... compared to 10+ runs 11 times by Hurts already... 33 times for Jackson already.  Not really comparable.

Been an eagle's fan my whole life, and been on these boards for over 15 years....and who are you again? Nobody? Thought so.

You can be a fan of a team and not like a player or two. Right now my favorite part of this team is the offensive line and how stoutland has us like 7-8 players with starting ability. I think a lot of our offense stems from that line and just having far more talent than the opposing teams (considering the weakness of the schedule it isn't difficult). I believe if we had the schedule of the bills, we would have a lot more questions and not this weird inflated ego that's come with beating on a few teams who hang out in top 8 picks every year.  It's cool. All most of you ever watch is eagles games. You bleed green and all that other fun bs...I happen to love the sport of football greater than just the eagles. I look around the league and what other teams bring to the table and realize that our W-L column is due to who we've played vs how we've played.  Jalen had a great September....so did Kyle Murray last year. I bet they were super bowl bound too heading into October. I'm allowed to not be as optimistic. I'm also not supposed to kiss Jalen's feet and find the positives in everything he does. He's on pace this year for 17 passings TDS. Hes on pace for 34 total tds which would put him 8th last year....which is where I said he'd rank.  Also a realistic pov, he won't make it 17 the way he keeps exposing himself to hits. He's gonna follow right behind Tua....like he always has

TLDR

I refuse to believe someone could be as big of a loser as you are claiming to be.

You spent an ENTIRE offseason railing against "your favorite” teams starting qb. Then that qb plays well enough for the national media to mention him as an MVP candidate… while the team is the last team still UNDEFEATED in the league… and you still can’t stop hating on him?!?!?

Am I hating his play? No. People in green bay aren't huge fan of Rodgers personality, bot nobody questions their fan hood. The team is more than just one player, and maybe if you rubbed a few braincells together you might be able to figure this one out. I doubt it though

Since that was too long for you to read, I'll do a small collection of words for you to understand

Eagles= good,  Jalen's play to this point= good, Jalen's personality= cringy, eagles schedule= equally cringy, you're ability to understand all this = nonexistent

I'm not shocked you weren't willing to read football conversation that didn't involve sniffing Jalen's taint stains

Don’t sugar coat it now sweetheart… you love throwing the TD #’s out there because that’s the only deficient number you can find right now compared to other QBs. It’s right there in your signature…

You hate the man like he Zach Wilson’s your mom.
