🤦‍♂️.  There's a dramatic difference between the number of runs (opportunities to be hit) and the number of yards gained.

Wilson rushed only 118 times that year.  And he averaged 7.19 yards per attempt to put up those numbers.

Hurts is on pace to blow away the all-time QB rush attempt record (175).  He's on pace for 212 over 16 games... 225 over the full 17 game schedule.  (Roughly double the number of rushes.)
Meanwhile, he's only averaging 3.87 yards per carry... roughly half of Wilson.  Which is why Hurts is only on pace for 871 yards... 

 

So, like I said, Wilson didn't run with the same frequency and was doing it almost exclusively as an escape of the pocket, not a major design factor of the offense.  Apples and oranges.

My favorite Jalen Hurts stat is 4-0.

I had questions about Hurts this off-season as well. I knew he had to show improvement or we would use our 2 1st rounders in 2023 to find his replacement.

But you spent A LOT of energy hating on him all off-season. It was an obsession for you.

I’m happy he is answering the questions I had about him, but it seems to make you angry. I guess it’s hard to admit that you were SO wrong.

Yes, Hurts is running the ball more frequently, and we'll see where that average ends up at the end of the year. And, yes, he is running more by design, but I don't think it's quite as much as you're implying here. I'd have to look at the tape and try to judge how many runs were called and how many were scrambles, but he seems to be hanging in the pocket a lot more. While there are some significant differences in how they're playing, saying it's "apples to oranges" is a bit off-base. The original exchange was about "scrambler vs. runner" which gets into semantics a bit, and you're also assuming that the number of rushing attempts is a direct correlation to nebulous terms like "scrambler" and "runner."

I’m pretty sure one of the biggest arguments for giving Hurts another year was because he was cheap and we could build the team around him and see how he progresses.

Its working out really good so far in the early season, and you’re mad about it.

At this point, I bet you would celebrate an injury to Jalen Hurts, wouldn’t you?

Why would I want him to get injured? That makes zero sense as an EAGLES fan smh. Bro, I get it. You have a personal relationship in your mind with this guy. The Carson Strong thing was a collective effort troll lol there was a few of us in on it.  I said he would throw about 25tds and hit 3800 yards. Yards wise he will smash it if healthy, touchdowns he is on pace to throw less. His completion percentage is stellar. He is using the same method that Lamar uses which I'm more okay with than others. My favorite part about your constant answering to me is that I've given his play respect all the way through, but you can't get over the fact I think he is super cringy. Again, it's like you have a personal relationship with the guy lol again, I am an eagles fan and you are a Jalen fan.

Winning takes more than just the QB, that's why it's a team stat.  I'd take Jalen over any QB in the division so far this season. Why? Because that makes the most football sense. A healthy Dak I would still take over Jalen at this point because he has had sustained success vs a few good weeks. 

All I know is if Jalen keeps this up.  It's going to be Cuba Gooding Jr. Jerry Maguire time soon:
