That’s all you can really ask for.

Now he needs to rise up to the challenge this week. Not only has he been bad against the Cowboys, he just hasn’t played anywhere close to winning football against them (granted it’s been just 2 games).

He needs to at least give us a solid chance to win this game.

Doesn’t matter who’s the QB if the Oline can’t block, the WR’s can’t get open, the coaches can’t coach and the GM can’t identify talent.

  • So we had to listen to an entire week of "He runs too much".   What will the talking points be this week?  Jalen and this Team can win in multiple ways.  Stop trying to put him in some box where he on

I like his attitude.  He's not satisfied.  He seems to want to be better.

Eye-popping. Never let anyone tell you that young QBs can't become more accurate passers. Granted, I didn't think he would improve his completion percentage so drastically from his rookie year, but I never thought his passing ability was really deficient, either, and felt that he could push his cmp. % up to about 63% over time. This was never a physical thing with Jalen; he's been a decent thrower of the ball, but chemistry and decision-making are a huge piece of the puzzle, which naturally improve with experience and coaching. Footwork/mechanics (something Wentz never seemed interested in working on) are another aspect that can be improved with dedication and proper coaching. Jalen was humble and smart enough to work with Tom House this offseason, and the results are paying dividends. Steve Young was on PTI last Thursday and made a point to talk about how remarkably Hurts has improved his footwork over the last season. It really is a sight to behold, and it's something that's clear as day to people that actually understand football and how to analyze QB play specifically.

Lock it up, he's the MVP. Haters are proven wrong.

Um, yeah, no one said that (strawman). Maybe we should just rename this "The Official Logical Fallacies Thread of the EMB."

..... Lamar more passing TDS, more rushing yards, better QB rating....

Not a single person has said he's the lead runner for the MVP?

You must not read the rest of the board.

At any rate, it was pretty clear or should be that I was blowing it out of proportion. I know that might be hard to grasp for some. Clearly.

Ohhhhh, now you add the qualifier. Next fallacy has been applied: Moving the goalposts.

Or you're incapable of reading sarcasm and take everything at face value.

Yeah, we'll go with that.

I'll talk slower for you next time.

He's a tier two candidate and hasn't thrown a TD in 3 of his 5 starts this game. I was starting to lean in favor of him after Washington because he proved he can win like a QB ...since then it has looked like he doesn't want to.

Seems like we're already backpedaling and transitioning to ad-hominems. You should write a book: "How to Lose an Argument in Short Order."

And all who have done the Allen comparison. Year three Allen first five game stats are off the charts, and Hurts total TDS are comparable to Wentz and is behind Goff....

I mean, it's pretty obvious to everyone other than you 😂

Well the Allen comparison was always about whether he could improve and take that next step. not about whether he'd match Allen's passing TD output.    I think all of us want to see more passing TDs, but I'll take wins and TDs any way I can get them.

I'm liking the wins, and respecting the Hurts output. He is definitely part of the results. I worry more about his long term health than his performance. I don't want to see the kid go the way of cam Newton and getting thrown away by the league because of heroics.  He should be a starter in the league for awhile because he is a top 15 guy. I just don't like the mentality of always trying to make something from every single play. It ruined Wentz career. Jalen is much more self aware than Wentz and I believe has a higher football IQ by quite a bit, but taking hits playing as RB will end his career fast.

I think Cam killed his career by going Vegan.  I also don't see Hurts running as much the more he plays. I think it'll always be a part of his game, but he's 24, he can get by for a couple of more seasons with his playstyle before he needs to cut it out.

My issue is if he keeps running, his game won't adjust before he gets hit with the big one. Same fear I have for Lamar and Allen. Cam took abuse. He got the shaq treatment. I have seen Jalen take hits where laundry should of flown. If QBs keep taking off league wide, they will loosen up on some rules. It already feels like they have for those who like to escape the pocket.

Hurts has got this.

Hurts shows excellent leadership qualities, as substantiated by how the team responds to him. If that makes you cringe, it says a lot more about you than Hurts.

No, his fans posting weird crap like that is cringy. That wasn't him being cringy, it was you

I posted it because it is the attitude he displays. He puts the onus on himself to make his guys better and help the team win. So, yeah, the fact that you find it cringeworthy and can't make the obvious connection says a lot about your level of maturity and emotional intelligence.

No, I get it princess....but that is still cringy. The fact you can't reflect on your post, take a laugh at your self and go yeah .... That's pretty cringy is a lack of maturity

You fans of him are like over the top evangelicals just applying everything to Jesus. Like F man lol we get it, you like the guy....but Jesus is it kinda getting creepy at this point.
