Doesn’t matter who’s the QB if the Oline can’t block, the WR’s can’t get open, the coaches can’t coach and the GM can’t identify talent.

  • So we had to listen to an entire week of "He runs too much".   What will the talking points be this week?  Jalen and this Team can win in multiple ways.  Stop trying to put him in some box where he on

They seem to have regressed this year in pass blocking. Really struggling at times. They are much more comfortable run blocking.

Hurts has elite weapons now and a really good run game. The pass blocking/blitz pick up is the main issue on O.

Seemed like it was localized to just this game IMO. I don't know what happened but they struggled against a bad Texans team

Nope, it was noticeably on its heels all night. I'm hoping it was just the effect of a short week.

The league claims to be looking out for players health but that is BS, they only care about money, these short weeks are not good for the players

Hurts' improvement is simply remarkable. Bravo.

Agreed. He's gonna get paid. No matter how many fans will try to move the goalpost in regards to critiquing his play.

I love when the haters out themselves by defensively reacting and making snide remarks in response to complimentary posts about Hurts as if they were being directly attacked :pizza:

Yeah classic Gaslighting. For months they proclaimed that Hurts was terrible and couldn’t possibly take a significant jump in year 3. They widely mocked us for suggesting Hurts showed promise and could improve into a franchise guy.

Now they resort to having as many little digs as possible. "Can he win a playoff game” "He’s no Josh Allen” "If we give him a big contract it won’t work”

Fair play to anyone who just came out and said they were wrong and have just got behind our QB.

Major BS, as became eminently clear when they saw Tua get his bell rung and then threw him back out there 4 days later merely for all of America to watch him get his brains completely scrambled in primetime. Then there wasn't even a passing thought of the fact that, in the true interest of his health, he probably shouldn't have been under center the rest of the season after suffering two concussions in less than a week, let alone starting again two weeks later

These are egotistical reactions that in some cases verge on classic narcissistic tendencies: always clinging to the victim mentality and trying to make others look like the aggressors, even when these fools aren't being called to the carpet.

Dat Josh Allen trajectory.

Trade Hurts for multiple picks, do not give him a mega deal and handcuff your franchise for years to come

This would be a great way for the office brass to completely crush team chemistry, locker room morale and eliminate any possibility that free agents would ever want to come play for the Philadelphia Eagles.

It’s funny how the narrative is trying to portray this as a bad game for Hurts. If this were Carson Wince the beanbaggers would have wanted to put him in canton over it, but for Jalen (you know the guy those dopes called a running back playing quarterback) had a bad game. A game where he completed 77% of his passes, threw two touchdowns, no interceptions, and completed passes to seven different receivers.

On the plus side, if we’re at the point where this is a "bad game” for Hurts, he must be doing pretty well.

Everyone's main issue with him was they thought he was a RB and not a passer. Thinking that he was more of a Lamar Jackson than a Dak Prescott. Looks like a nice combination of those 2. Kept telling the impatient doubters here that he can work on it and was doing fine, as it was early in his career. He's been running alot less now and just becoming a wonderful accurate passer. Great progressions. Exciting to see what the peak Hurts looks like. The anti-Wentz here in not playing hero ball and being decisive. And not being afraid to live for the next play. This is a coach's son working real hard to perfect his craft. Got ourselves a gem here, as I've stated all along. To think peeps in here were ready to trade him and a slew of high draft picks for Wilson or Watson is laughable. Howie stuck with him and let him succeed with more weapons. Gets full credit for that.

Absolute losers.  The Washer stench still lingers with these clowns.

In the past, my biggest concern about Hurts, was the thought of him being a 'running QB' and being our leading rusher week in and week out. I absolutely want that threat to be there, but I also want our QB to be a bigger threat with his arm (from anywhere on the field).

Right now, he's on pace for more than 4,000 yards passing and 25 or 26 passing TDs. He's on pace for almost 700 yards rushing and almost 13 rushing TDs. I'm really happy with that ratio and I'm really happy with his improvement/progression in the position.

If he keeps on this trajectory, maybe he can be what we thought (in 2017) Wentz might be... our long term franchise QB. I hope can can/will be. I want that position to be stable and set in stone... and win us multiple rings.

The only place where Hurts' future is even being debated is here.  The rest of the world thinks the Eagles have their franchise guy for years to come.

Problem is (and I'm not saying that Hurts isn't because I'm absolutely on the Hurts train) everyone thought wentz was at one point.

Wentz has as much pure talent as Mahomes and Allen. But talent alone only gets you so far. He clearly has issues that have derailed his career.

Hurts has very little talent comparatively speaking, but the team has designed an offense that maximizes his natural running skills and allows him to be successful by putting opposing defenders in conflict and having him make quick reads to determine where the ball should go.

More proof that you don't actually watch games.

Before game 7, Smith was 14th (among WRs) in the NFL in total YAC, averaging 4.8 YAC per reception (which is ahead of Tyreek Hill, Chris Godwin, Stefon Diggs, Davante Adams, etc...)

It seems as thought we have a misunderstanding of YAC, you're thinking yards after catch, I'm thinking yards after contact.

You see, according to your definition, Smith is a better WR than Hill, Diggs, and Adams.....truth be told, according to my definition, Smith offers zero in the area of YAC, this is a pefect example of how stats can be misleading.

Lol, no.

"Pay him... Pay that man his money."

The biggest difference between Hurts and Wentz is definitely between the ears.  Hurts is confident, but he’s open to constructive criticism, because he wants to improve. Wentz has always seemed to be too stubborn for that, and it shows in his lack of development.

Yards after contact is a rushing stat, not a receiving stat. Please tell us your source for reception yards after contact statistics.
