Doesn’t matter who’s the QB if the Oline can’t block, the WR’s can’t get open, the coaches can’t coach and the GM can’t identify talent.

  • So we had to listen to an entire week of "He runs too much".   What will the talking points be this week?  Jalen and this Team can win in multiple ways.  Stop trying to put him in some box where he on

Jalen's performance Broke an NFL Record, Broke an Eagles Record, 16-3 over the last 19 Regular Season Starts.    These are the facts.

Not sure if he's better than Dak tho....

If you were to ask me who I would take right now, I'd say Hurts.

Anybody with any football sense would.

He's clearly NFC offensive player of the week again, right?

Josh Jacobs in the AFC for sure.

Sarcasm?

I don’t think this was the best game of his career.

Then, what was?

Probably either the Steelers game, the Minnesota game, or the first Washington game.

Yeah I'm not sure I'd go as far to say it was his best game. That said he didn't put the ball in harms way and the offense probably scores more points if AJ doesn't fumble on that one drive.

It wasn't. He bailed out of the pocket a bunch of times. It's odd that he wasn't stepping up when he's shown that he can do it earlier in the season

I never really cared about a rushing record for a QB. It's not something one thinks of before having Hurts. I didn't even know about it until this game

Disclaimer: He didn't suck lol

Exactly this.

He's actually on pace to run more this season than he did last season. His passing has been better (noticeably so), but he's thrown for under 200 in 4 of the last 6 games.

He's having an awesome season, but again..50 million for that?

He had a good game but it seems like he made some bad decisions due to all the success he was having running. That said, the OL was definitely having a rough game in terms of pass protection though.

We've seen that he can throw it like crazy to the point where we're asking for Nick to use Sanders. We've also had happy mediums. I guess they saw something from Packers tape that Eagles can run all over them. Still it would be nice if the running was from the RB but oh well

They struggled on blitz. It's like both Nick and Hurts didn't know what to do

Yes and no. They made it a point last night to show those watching that they were trying to force him into the pocket. What did he do? Scramble backwards and to his right.

He didn't have a bad game and the line didn't have a good game, but the old habits have been popping up lately.

Hurts has gotten a lot better, but he runs too much. My concern is this- just ONE rib cracking shot (he took a shot to the ribs last night, but survived that one) and this team is toast. When your QB has to run for 157 yards, take hard hits, and you STILL nearly lose the game, something is wrong. I warmed up to Hurts a lot more this year, but he runs too much, and he is going to get knocked out soon enough.

  • He talked about how honored he was to be in the conversation with other Eagles RUNNING QB's- Vick, Cunningham and McNabb- who NEVER WON A SUPER Bowl by running.
  • Nick Foles, the only Eagle who HAS won a Super Bowl and is a pocket passer, is laughing hysterically somewhere.
"Run, run, run, but what have you won?" 🤣

157 yards running from a QB who honors QB's who never won anything, but loves them because they RUN, tells you all you need to know. Hey Hurts, take a peek at Foles, a pocket passer who won it all. Can't do that, can you? 🤣

No. He threw the ball a few times on point, which is great, but also his job. Jackson does that in Balt and there is a reason fans don't want to sign him. He runs well, yes. He also holds the damn ball so long because he can't decide where to throw the ball. His best passes are the ones where he knows from the snap where he is going, but if he has to progress through receivers he still struggles. He has not improved there. He also holds the damn ball and makes decisions that make us yell at our TV.

Who is Hurts? He is a guy who can run the ball, make a good through if he knows where the ball is going at the snap (heaven help us if his primary is covered and they can't run the ball), and he can play well when he has a good OL, two stud WR, and if Dallas is healthy and playing at TE.

Who isn't he? An NFL throwing QB who can move the ball down the field when the run isn't there and his primary is covered.

You do not give a 40-50 million dollar contract to a guy who needs elite talent around him to succeed. That's going to suck up the cap and take away the things he needs to win that are creating the mirage people are falling for. If they do they will be screwed for years to come.

Mastery of the offensive play calling as a 2nd year starter is incredible.

For comparison, Manning was 32-32 after 4 years with 6 pick 6's in coach killing year 4 (he kept the same system and OC when Dungy arrived)

17 games is now a season.

Hurts is 15-2 in his last 17 with 22 TDs to 8 picks, 3723 yards passing, 887 yards rushing and 13 rushing TDs.

Those are MVP numbers in career starts 14 to 30.

Hurts is incredible as a 2nd year starter / 3rd year project QB.
