He is, you don't need to agree, but that's no longer a hot take.

There are what, at best, 4 QBs in the NFL better than him?

Doesn’t matter who’s the QB if the Oline can’t block, the WR’s can’t get open, the coaches can’t coach and the GM can’t identify talent.

  • So we had to listen to an entire week of "He runs too much".   What will the talking points be this week?  Jalen and this Team can win in multiple ways.  Stop trying to put him in some box where he on

Not sure anyone put you in charge of determining that, since your qb analysis has proven to be pretty far from elite.

One good season doesn't put you in the elite club. Maybe eventually he does. To say he's elite after one good year is asinine

Amazing! Look at them congregate... they seem to travel in herds or what is a group of trolls called?

It does if you win the MVP at 24, and like I said who else is there? Is there a single QB in the conference better than him?

I don't care about individual awards. The voting on those awards are jokes anyways. No, I wouldn't take anyone else over him in the NFC. Doesn't mean he's elite. So if he wins mvp he's elite...Lamar is elite?

You can care about whatever you want my guy, but I'm glad you at least admitted he's the best QB in the conference.

Doesn't really mean anything. Brady, Rodgers, Stafford are old has-been, Cousins is mediocre, Dak is overrated, Murray is a joke, plenty of young guys and backups. Yea, I'll be proud of that

With a 45 million dollar qb means less money spent on other important positions. Howie better keep drafting well. Regardless they'll take a step back next year. They can't keep everyone

I think this may be a 2-3 year window. Howie is the master at fudging the heck out of contract details, Hurts won’t hit the cap hard until at least 2025. We could also bring a number of guys back on ballooned backend deals.

Itll piss that one guy who dedicated a thread to it off to no end, but it’d work in the short term.

Hey at least you admitted it. I'll take it, considering we had a guy here a week ago who was arguing that Dak and Hurts were neck and neck. Baby steps.

I'm sure they'll bring some guys back but guys like Bradberry won't be included in that bunch. That's where Howie needs to nail the draft on

Relativity is important. being the prettiest cripple just means we don’t need as much to get closer to the ring

Dak has never impressed me

Yeah, I'm a believer in Howie magic when it comes to this stuff. This dude took a 30 mil dead cap hit and a year later put together a juggernaut roster.

I think Hargrave and CGJGCG are crucial.

We’re losing something like 5 DTs this offseason, I don’t want to see Davis and a rookie starting next year with no bench. And When are safeties are good, we’re good, when they’re not, we’re not.

I believe it all predicates on his faith the cap will balloon and the dead money will continue to be little more than an excuse to make more of it. 10 years from now it could be looked at as what everyone should have been doing

I can see CGJ, Hargrave, Epps, White, Seumalo.

Bradberry gone- need a starting cb

Cox gone

Kelce retired- Jurgens is waiting

BG- unless he takes a very friendly deal he could be gone

Edwards gone- Dean

Sanders could be gone

Agree on all counts. I love white, can’t believe how cheap we got him, and I think he’ll get a thrift store longterm deal

BG I’ve had the same thought; no way he hangs em up after what he’s done this year, he’s the last guy I’d expect to leave to chase a final payday, and we genuinely need him with the Dline turnover that’s about to happen.

Edwards will get a big contract somewhere else, as will Sanders.

Bug wrench in this is if Kelce says he’s got another year, Howie will give him another pay raise to stay. That’ll cost us an Epps or a Seumalo

You want everyone to lick Jalen’s boots as much as you do and when they don’t, you get all bent up about it.  You wanna hug?

Nah just calling ya out when needed. Which one of us got banned? I think you're the one that gets bent out of shape

I don't think Kelce will be back next year. Now you're talking about drafting a legit starting cb, a starting rb (this year's class is a good one), dline help especially DE. Maybe not this draft but the following you have to start looking for a RT. If Howie gives Hurts market money, he better not f up the drafts

Hurts quotes from yesterday:

Do I waste my time on the opinions of sheep? No

... Everybody and their opinion you don't deposit it at the bank.

RB is something we will have to figure out in later rounds.  Maybe 3rd ish

It's a really good rb class. I'm ok with that. We will recoup some picks with a trade down from the 2nd 1st rd pick

Fellow squirter in arms, Daboll, said it best, Hurts is one of the most mentally tough and focused athletes in the league.

Hurts will be the first RB to win MVP since AP

I think RB will be a committee of FA’s/trades, a la 2017. There’s an insanely talented group whose contracts are expiring, and they aren’t all gonna get big money. Something like Kareem Hunt-Damien Harris or Jamaal Williams-David Montgomery would be a good get. One thing we don’t have this year is that Lagarette Blount freight train guy. Losing Miles may have a silver lining to go with a varied committee
