One question for folks, why is it a sin to say anything negative about Hurts,

Once again, that's a strawman.

Doesn’t matter who’s the QB if the Oline can’t block, the WR’s can’t get open, the coaches can’t coach and the GM can’t identify talent.

  • So we had to listen to an entire week of "He runs too much".   What will the talking points be this week?  Jalen and this Team can win in multiple ways.  Stop trying to put him in some box where he on

Actually that was 2007, Garcia vs Brees.

I’m aware. I was in Toronto that night. I had tickets to a Leafs/Canucks game. Pretty sure the Canucks won like 6-0 or 5-1 or something.

For many here it’s the Hurts show, and everybody else is just tagging along. That’s BS

This is such a strange take. The whole genesis of this discussion was my response to someone's claim that the team was carrying Hurts. No one thinks Hurts is the only reason the team is winning. That's your delusional take on the situation.

Absolutely no one made that claim.

Haven't read everything.

Has the race card been played yet?

Was there any doubt ???

You guys are honestly pathetic. The only people hating on Hurts right now are either: 1) Too insecure to admit they were wrong. 2) Wentz fanboys 3) racists.

None, but I figured I'd ask anyway.

Opie could do no wrong and was everyone's darling, even when he sucked fat donkey balls, and even today, people still fool themselves into thinking that "he could've been great if he just had the right players around him!" even though he's continued to languish on two separate teams. Meanwhile, Hurts was a bust from day one and could do nothing right for two years, and now that he's playing great, people will go out of their way to downplay his achievements and effect on his teammates and nitpick personality traits like his manner of speaking and how he carries himself. McNabb got similar treatment, and even though his faults were glaring and I've been quick to criticize his character flaws, he was a million times more successful than Wentz will ever be, but he got one-millionth of the benefit of the doubt that the latter did. Think about it...or just get really butthurt and whine about someone bringing up the subject. The former would be enlightening, but hey, at least the latter is entertaining :pizza:

And I stand by that. What utopia do you live in where there are zero racist fans that don’t like black QB’s? Must be in some parallel universe.

What about those that thought Wentz stunk, Hurts stunk, but have given him props and admitted to being wrong...only to continue to be called racist and other things?

Where do those people fit into the equation?

How many black qbs have the eagles had in the past 30 years? Why would any racist continue to cheer for this team considering how often we’ve had good, black QBs?

Vaff said it, but it's more complicated than that. Your simple mind is in no way capable of comprehending nuance, though, so, I'm content to just let you have a hissy fit.

My first family pet was named Donovan.

It's comical how race is always brought up lol

Football too!

You play much rugby? What position if so?

You think there are ZERO racist Eagles fans, because they’ve had several black QB’s? Seriously, are you F’ing kidding?

Wing/fullback. Loved fullback far more than wing. Don’t play anymore either and miss it sometimes

If they hate Hurts because he's black then they must hate every black player as well. Ish head

I miss the games. I don't miss the day after and the training midweek. Played full back to start with.
