Jalen Hurts - shoulder sprain injury; expected for playoffs

Agreed.  At this point, with a better team than 2017, the #1 seed, and being the favorite in every playoff game in the NFC, there is absolutely no excuse not to at a minimum be in the Super Bowl.

For those who say I do not like, hate, or whatever about Hurts, with the current state of things, I 100% expect the Eagles to be in the Super Bowl. I have already taken the Monday after off.

Doesn’t matter who’s the QB if the Oline can’t block, the WR’s can’t get open, the coaches can’t coach and the GM can’t identify talent.

  • So we had to listen to an entire week of "He runs too much".   What will the talking points be this week?  Jalen and this Team can win in multiple ways.  Stop trying to put him in some box where he on

At least vaff is honest enough to say what he means, doesn’t couch it in hidden language

Of course vaff would be one of those race card players. This is the guy who began posting in the blog years ago and came asking for girl advice. There was this barista. And he was super shy. And what should he do? Eventually got embarrassed enough to disappear from the blog ever again (even though people were being nice to him). And will never respond to any post asking him what ever happened with the barista chick. He needs to create safe spaces. So of course if someone has an opinion differing form his, he labels them and places them in to some box off to the side where he can ignore them. All about creating safe spaces. Which is apparently why this thread exists.

Hurts had a great game! I post a video of ESPN hyperbolically heaping effusive praise on him. Anyone want to talk about that? No! Take that post in here and use it to drive a discussion on how I said hurts made a routine NFL pass, and mis-construe that as Hurts ridicule. If they can create make believe arguments that can easily be beaten, they can take those arguments in to their safe space thread where all the like-minded/small minded individuals can gang up and smack it down and feel like theyve won something in their little corner of the internet.

Jesus now our punter is hurt?  Do we have a backup capable punter?  This could swing the game if we have to go for it on 4th and long in our end of the field rest of the game.

Meanwhile, mister pumping out his chest about Hurts was worried about beating the Giants because the freaking punter was hurt.

This is a reasonable post that I can agree with.

Now lets move on to Sanders.  Hurts has no impact on him.  While he will will have his highest rushing yardage season, that is due to health and usage.  This season will actually rank 3rd for him in yards per carry, but will rank #1 in carries per game and games played.  Here are Miles numbers extrapolated to 17 games and 16 carries per ( which will be a career high )

While I won't say it is Miles fault he has never played a full season, but you have to be healthy, he has never been given enough carries.

Here are the raw numbers.  11 carries a game for him is just ridiculous.

I agree with the numbers. He definitely should have been used better in past seasons. Because of the RPO though I do believe Hurts does make him better just for deception reasons but that’s minimal.

This is how you have a reasonable discussion about Hurts and his weapons.  Miller Time and I have had many disagreements, appreciate you keeping it 💯and actually discussing something with a level head.

I just think it’s interesting that people accused of racism, seem to whine more than actual victims of racism. Kinda tells you how soft they are.

You sure? They didnt reject you like the barista did?

It's called math.

You take the numbers, divide them by games played, then multiply them by 17.

For example, if you take AJ's current numbers, /13 and multiply by 14, his numbers would almost be exactly what the 2020 numbers in Tennessee were.

image.png.9e498517db7cfb33a786d6a12f5f5493.png

Wow. That is total garbage. 😂

did you factor in ANYTHING to these theoretical numbers? Like… the defensive averages he could’ve faced in those games? What the possible pass defenses averages were?  You do know he was injured in those games he missed in Tennessee, right? So you just…. 😂….. omg you just comically say, "no he’s not injured in those games and he’ll do this”…. Lol. Omg. With no context? No extrapolations of ANY kind?

are you Fing serious? 😂

I am 100% serious.  Those 14 games with Tannehill are the actual number, the 14 with Hurts is a projection based on his season averages this year.  You are so in love with Hurts, that you can not be objective.

Good news, we will have the 14th game this week, so there will be no speculation, there will be facts.

If AJ does what he averages this year this Sunday, those will be the numbers.

Comedy.  Soft is being offended because someone has a differing opinion than you of a QB of an NFL team.

You said there was only  3 reasons that people don't like Hurts, and racism was on of the 3.  The only who has been exposed today is you.

But, on to more important things, did you ever nail that barista ??

I don’t have any idea how to answer that question. I couldn’t care less what you guys think of me, but I also know it’s none of your business. So you come to your own conclusions, makes no difference to me.

If you call that funny with the crap and the curiosity I've read from him then you do you as well and yall can both giggle about it.

No, but TO didn’t make McNabb a good QB either. They were both tops at their positions and ended up in a SB together. They needed each other.

Brown probably does help Hurts more than Hurts helps Brown at this moment in their careers. However, Hurts is making the right throws and going through his progressions. That didn’t just start because of Brown. He put the work in and it’s showing.

You can't be logical with the haters or those that look for every opportunity to discredit Hurts work he's put in. These dudes gonna be mad af if he wins the MVP

Last year's super bowl winning QB Matthew Stafford threw for 4,886 yards  67.2% for 41 TDs 17 ints 30 sacks 102.9 QB rtg

Jalen Hurts with four weeks remaining has thrown for 3,157 yards, 22 TDs, 3 INTs 108.4 rtg

According to ESPN Jalen Hurts is projected to throw for 4,128 yards and 29 TDs.

However, Jalen Hurts has ran for 686 yards avg 4.9 and 10 rushing TDs (fumbled 5 but didn't lose any). Also has 1 defensive tackle this season.

Matt only ran for 43 yards last year and no rushing TDs.

--------------------

As far as Jalen Hurts post season record this season, which team do you think will be able to defeat the Eagles?

I think it's due time we include rushing yards in the NFL's official quarterback rating number.

The haters like to deflect from posts praising Hurts by insinuating they are just a bunch of fan boys with literal hard-ons. You really don't need to scroll back that far to see it. When confronted with facts to the contrary of their delusions, the haters respond with deflections in the form of laughter or jabs taken at the poster.

The last poster I took a jab at was Farrah Fawcett.

Stats time. Lets get QBR out of the way. Its not a stat. Its a secret proprietary subjective pile of BS that ESPN created to feel relevant. Cooper Rush is the 9th best QB to start a game this year by QBR. He is 26th in ANY/A and 38th in passer rating. QBR is an agenda, not a stat. Leave it alone.

https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/11/19/charlie-batchs-186-yard-two-pick-game-has-espns-best-qbr-ever/

Now lets go to Passer Rating. Its made of 4 stats; completion %, TD %, INT%, and yards per pass.

Hurts is 1st in passer rating but he is also 4th, 5th, 1st, and 2nd for top 5 in all 4 components. (4th in rating Mahomes is 14, 1, 18, 3)

Now factor in his running and he's playing like the clear MVP.

His team is 1st in points, 3rd in yards, 5th in yards per play, 1st in least turnovers, and best in record.

MVP

Good lord is the young man really second in yards per pass?

He's having the greatest season any Eagles' QB has ever had. Simply phenomenal.
