Jalen Hurts - shoulder sprain injury; expected for playoffs

He's having the greatest season any Eagles' QB has ever had. Simply phenomenal.

And barring injury there's no real reason to think he's going to regress. Ok sure he may take a small step back but you know with Hurts he's going to continue to work and improve. He strives for perfection.

Doesn’t matter who’s the QB if the Oline can’t block, the WR’s can’t get open, the coaches can’t coach and the GM can’t identify talent.

  • So we had to listen to an entire week of "He runs too much".   What will the talking points be this week?  Jalen and this Team can win in multiple ways.  Stop trying to put him in some box where he on

There’s no reason for Hurts not to have a career trajectory similar to McNabb's, except he will have far superior wide receivers.

Hurts' current season is similar to McNabb's 2004 campaign, which is the first time he had a legit top 5 receiver. It's pretty easy to see the team going on a 5 or 6 year run where they dominate the NFC East and field a Super Bowl level team every season.

Of course vaff would be one of those race card players. This is the guy who began posting in the blog years ago and came asking for girl advice. There was this barista. And he was super shy. And what should he do? Eventually got embarrassed enough to disappear from the blog ever again (even though people were being nice to him). And will never respond to any post asking him what ever happened with the barista chick. He needs to create safe spaces. So of course if someone has an opinion differing form his, he labels them and places them in to some box off to the side where he can ignore them. All about creating safe spaces. Which is apparently why this thread exists.

Hurts had a great game! I post a video of ESPN hyperbolically heaping effusive praise on him. Anyone want to talk about that? No! Take that post in here and use it to drive a discussion on how I said hurts made a routine NFL pass, and mis-construe that as Hurts ridicule. If they can create make believe arguments that can easily be beaten, they can take those arguments in to their safe space thread where all the like-minded/small minded individuals can gang up and smack it down and feel like theyve won something in their little corner of the internet.

Oh, he’s that guy???? Explains everything.

It's ironic that a poster who questioned Hurt sexuality has what looks like Herbert's inflated cartoon of butt cheeks as his avatar. Nobody cares bruh! This is 2022… . You do you!

Oh people care. I tried to have a discussion about Hurts sexuality and so many of his lover boys on here cried about it and got it shut down.

Speaking of Mr. Softee, you still too coward to respond to my post about Elway and Young in the blog?  Or are you going to run and hide again?

That’s what he does. Posts a bunch of gibberish nonsense, then when called out he just runs away and hides.

Its what you’d expect from a guy obsessed with the 2015 Rams

I think it's due time we include rushing yards in the NFL's official quarterback rating number.

That’s partly what total QBR was for, changing landscape in QB qualifications

Absolutely not.

Interesting.

Amen. Hurts’ intangibles are his best attribute. He will not leave any stone unturned in improving year over year.

I thought it was incorporated in the ESPN QBR. Anyways only a fool can’t see how backbreaking it can be for a team to get a first down on third and long after a quarterback run. The idiots stuck in the old tropes won’t ever get it.

The ESPN rating system was discussed as bogus somewhere on this thread. No opinion here, just want to see the NFL update their system.

Easily one of the dumbest suggestions I have seen made.  Congrats.

Curious why you think it's dumb?

(Add rushing stats to QBR)

As I've asked others, why do you say that?

Of course he doesn’t. He’s dumb

QBR does include rushing stats.

QB rating (also known as the NFL passer rating) was specifically designed to rank QBs according to their effectiveness as passers.

It's why we knew he'd hit his ceiling and we knew he'd improve this year. We just didn't know to what extent.

Jalen Hurts is the first QB to get 10 rushing Touchdowns in back to back seasons.

The throwing, the running, the reading of defenses how could Jalen Hurts not get MVP this season?
I guess people are hung up on him being drafted in the second round and being told that he was drafted to be Carson Wentz's backup only, which we know was probably a lie at the time.
A few fans claim that since he didn't win his first playoff game (Wild Card game)  and had a poor passer rating of 60 in that game, that they need to see him play great in the post season. Well they won't have to wait long, and I know he will silence all the critics by crushing the 49ers in the Playoffs.

That's nice but I'd rather he was the first QB to have some type of passing stat in back to back seasons

It’ll will be back to back to back soon. That QB sneak isn’t being stopped anytime soon.

I don't know if I would be promoting that, while Marino was a great QB, here was 1 thing he never did.

I thought you didn't care what I had to say? Now you're initiating conversation like a fan girl.

In case it isn't abundantly clear, there is a distinct and very serious difference between not thinking a player will be good and accusing someone of being a racist.

I guess for some those lines blur together. Guess we know where you stand 😉

In the game of life, the internet message board martyr would be at the bottom.  Congrats!
