Doesn’t matter who’s the QB if the Oline can’t block, the WR’s can’t get open, the coaches can’t coach and the GM can’t identify talent.

  • So we had to listen to an entire week of "He runs too much".   What will the talking points be this week?  Jalen and this Team can win in multiple ways.  Stop trying to put him in some box where he on

ESPN is a joke.  It's an entertainment network more than a sports network

QBR does include rushing stats.

QB rating (also known as the NFL passer rating) was specifically designed to rank QBs according to their effectiveness as passers.

OK, sorry I didn't state it properly. Yes, I meant the NFL one. I stopped using ESPN for anything except the actual games years ago. My point is, to all my admirers above, that I think it should include the rushing stats considering today's game. This would give a clearer picture of a quarterback's value to a team.

Option 1: Pay Hurts this offseason

Option 2: Wait and pay Hurts next offseason if he does well. Multiple QBs need extended and a new Sunday Ticket deal is getting done. Contract may be a huge difference.

Option 3: Wait to pay Hurts but he does terrible next year. Let him walk in Free Agency and don’t receive anything for Hurts but a comp pick.

Option 4: Trade Hurts this offseason. Get a ton a resources.

I think we have to either pay Hurts this offseason or trade him (which is the least likely option). No way we can go with option 2 or 3.

The Eagles aren't trading Hurts.  Franchise QB's don't grow on trees.  Look for Howie to put together a team friendly deal that will set up Hurts for life.

100% agree. The post was to point out that we have to sign him this offseason. We can’t wait or we lose money or too many resources.

Man, the lions really have something going. If the Vikings weren’t coming out on top in all of these last minute victories, Detroit would have that division

They are going to be the team that no one wants to face, at least on the NFC side.

Passer Rating will never be more than just that. QBR takes into account more than jut passing. With that being the case Jalen has been at an elite level in both this season.

The completion % improvement is great and everything, but the turnovers are the biggest difference between the QB from last year and the one this year. Not anticipating disaster every time he lobs one downfield is a bit of a relief.

To be honest here, even though I was not his biggest fan last year or coming into this season, the one thing I would compliment him on was by and large, I thought he did well protecting the ball, aside from the first Giants game. He has only gotten better at that which has certainly been huge for us.

He's playing at an elite level, dude. Why is that so hard for you to admit? Actually, as an Eagles fan, it's pretty sad you can't just sit back and appreciate it.

No one is not appreciating it.  The Eagles should go far in the playoffs.

The issue, is no credit is being given to the other 52 guys.  AJ Brown has had a major impact, so has 1st round pick Devonta Smith.  So have the multiple all pro offensive lineman.  So has the offensive coordinator who can call a game multiple ways to take advantage of the opposing defenses weakness.

Hurts has played really well, but to think there is not multiple other QB's who would be doing the same with this roster is just absurd.

Yes there is no way and I mean no way that the Eagles are trading Hurts. It would make them a laughing stock and destroy any team chemistry.

Hurts is going to get paid a ton and deserves it. Hopefully he signs a team friendly deal in the 45 million per year range. There is a small possibility that Hurts's agent asks for so much or a fully guaranteed contract that the Eagles have to say no for this year, but hopefully they get it done. Trading him is not on the table.

It is highly debatable that any other QB could be having the kind of success that Hurts is having, and it's really a pointless debate to have for any reason other than to downplay the impact that Hurts is having on the team. Regardless, that is not what was being done in the post that I quoted. What happened was, for like the 5 millionth time, someone brought up the fact that Hurts' play this year has been statistically elite this year, and someone took the opportunity to make the a crack about how the guy who said that is just a lover with a mouth full of Hurts c**k.

False, and that is why some folks go to the other extreme.  If you can not admit that Mahomes would have the same success on this team, you are being a Hurts fan boy.

Mahomes is about to set the single season passing yardage record and throw 45 TD passes.  Doing all of this while his #1 WR was trade away and replaced with JuJu Smith-Schuster, and an UDFA starting at RB.

Maybe Mahomes, but that's it. Mahomes doesn't present the level of threat that Hurts does running the ball, though, and he's actually been way more careless with the football this year. In fact, if we even have to bring up Mahomes as a valid comparison, then that right there tells you that Hurts is playing at an elite level.

I don't think anyone is going to argue with that though. Hurts is playing at an elite level. He's rivalling Mahomes who could break the all time passing TD record. It's a great debate and a huge testament to Hurts to be in that debate.

Exactly.  But some people are just so unreasonable they can not have the discussion.

1.  Fact, Hurts has the resume to be MVP.

2.  Fact, Hurts is not the MVP, and there is others in the conversation.

Agreed. It's actually a really good debate because what does MVP really mean. Is it truly most valuable player? Or more often than not do we win the "best player" win the award.

Um, all over this message board for weeks.  If you bring up anyone else as a possible MVP and do not immediately agree with someone who says HURTS IS MVP you are labeled a hater and a racist.

Lol, that is an extremely oversimplified, convoluted version that you're putting out there to play the victim.

Not to mention that wasn't even what I was talking about when you responded to me.
