It was weird how it all came out late. The Eagles are going to play this to the last minute. Personally I feel like beating the Saints is more important than the Cowboys right now. I wouldn’t risk him there when I could give him the rest and play him at home.

Yep. The rest of the team will step up and there will be more chest bumps in the parking lot. I hope Hurts heals up fast. He'll be working hard to get back and keep the chemistry going in practice. I'm not worried about that.

If yougave them truth serum they would probably say lose to the cowboys beat saints rest against giants most game then not have to beat cowboys three games in same season

I think we will know over the next 2 days. If he practises, he is playing. Sounds like it's not an injury that effects his throwing, might not even be a pain issue by the time we get to Saturday.

Come on, man.  Situational football.  It’s 20 degrees outside.  Guys are going to get hurt from tightness, alone.  We have a great RB that does this for a living and is fully capable of getting a carry BEFORE halfway through the 2nd quarter.

It’s week 14. Wentz is backing up Taylor Heineke and on his 3rd team in 3 years. NOBODY is saying he’s a better QB right now than Hurts. Nobody. I’ve never been so happy to be so wrong about a player.

Until Dallas starts taking shots at an injured QB.  The ultimate goal is winning a Super Bowl,  and you let Hurts sit and be healthy for the playoffs.

Plus, be way more embarrassing for Dallas to get wrecked by Minshew.

I trash the Cowboys a lot, but I am fully aware of that pass rush too. Unless this is really a minor injury I hope they don’t play him.

Can’t just sit for an entire month

We win this week, we can give him 28+ days of rest. If he is unbothered by the injury and the pain is subsiding, put him in and let's close it out this week.

Panicked for a bit, but thankfully only a sprain and he'll be ready for playoffs.  They should NOT have been running him so much yesterday.  The cold, the Bears defenders were being very physical.  He was taking sacks.  He's made smart decisions this season but for some reason was verging on "hero ball" that we used to criticize Wentz for doing.  If he'll be ready for playoffs that's great, just play it smart.  He also can't be too shy to run, just have to be smart like he was doing all year.

Agreed. I can’t put all of this on the OC like some have. Hurts has to do a better job protecting himself and I don’t think he’s been doing a good enough job of that the past few weeks.

They've always had the next man up mentality and teams tend to rally around the backup knowing that he'll need support.  You see other backups step in around the league (unfortunately it often happens against us too!).  Thankfully Minshew at least has been on the roster for 2 years and knows the playbook and has some regular season playing time and starts with us.  They will prepare all week and I think they will be so amped up to prove themselves and go in to Dallas to get that win.

The Eagles have one of the best WR duos in football, a 1000, yard back, and one of the best yards after the catch TEs in football. This is the most talent Minshew ever played with.
