I don’t think that necessarily says much about his availability being it was a walk through. It was noted that rest was a key factor in his recovery. I’d be more inclined to think he’s out if he is DNP in every practice leading up to the game.

He wanted to and said he was going to play the Jets game last years well.  He's tough as nails and will be out there if Howie and the medical staff let him.  Will be interesting to see how it plays out.  I think the team ultimately decides to hold him out of the Cowboys game but we will see how persuasive Hurts will be in his rehab in the leadup to the game.

Yeah I see very little chance that Hurts plays on Saturday. This injury plus a short week added to that this isn't a must win game and I just don't see it.

No, Vegas is pumped right now. Outside of Eagles fans there are going to be a ton of fans betting for Dallas this week. It’s a win for Vegas regardless if Hurts plays or not. If Minshew plays they made the odds big enough for Philly to cover. If Hurts plays they basically just suckered everyone. I don’t see this as an indication that he won’t play at all. After listening to Hurts and Siri today I’d say there is a decent chance he plays.

Vegas would not have also changed the MVP odds if they thought he may play.

Why not? Nobody is going to bet for him this week and everyone is going to vote for Mahomes. Less payout if Mahomes wins now. They will just readjust the odds if he plays. 

It might be an advantage for Hurts to not play: so Cowboys can't possibly come up with a blueprint to stop Hurts and Eagles.

I don’t believe anyone is saying the Eagles should have passed more.  I would have rather seen the RB’s get those carries.  There’s a reason why RB’s have a short shelf life in the NFL and their contracts have shrunk by comparison.  It’s because they don’t last.  You ask your QB to play like that, their not gonna last either.  Now both Jackson and Hurts has gotten hurt, each of the last two seasons.  It’s only a matter of time before Allen gets knocked out.  And eventually that is what’s gonna happen.  Knocked out.  Allen puts his head out there all too often on running plays.  It’s inevitable.  

You're acting as if Hurts has been running reckless this whole time. He almost always slides or run out of bounds to avoid any big hits.

He's had a ton of carries on the QB sneak for a 1st or a TD ir simple kneel downs at end of the game. Other carries like the game winner against the Colts and the untouched TD against the Bears were absolutley the right decision. 

There's other strictly pocket passers that get hurt in the pocket.

It’s not like Hurts is out there playing streetball like Vick did or what Allen, Fields, and Jackson are currently doing now. Hurts has been good at protecting himself but this past Sunday he made bad decisions and ran a lot more than he should have. He'll learn from it.

Hurts hurt his shoulder.  That’s why he ran as much as he did. FYI.  

He ran the ball 11 times before getting injured. Of the 6 times he ran after the injury, 2 of them were qb sneaks, he threw the ball 9 times which was a 4th of his attempts. It was not why he ran as much as he did.
