The line is down from 6 to 4.5

I still think it's a long shot that he plays, but Vegas has hedged.

Here is the explanation for the line shifting back.

Doesn’t matter who’s the QB if the Oline can’t block, the WR’s can’t get open, the coaches can’t coach and the GM can’t identify talent.

  • So we had to listen to an entire week of "He runs too much".   What will the talking points be this week?  Jalen and this Team can win in multiple ways.  Stop trying to put him in some box where he on

Regardless of this, 6 point dogs is a lot for a 13-1 team. Shifting back down is just a natural correction to the initial overreaction.

With the news the line was going to move regardless if Hurts plays. More people will bet for Dallas after the news. Also, the line already went down to 4.5.

My point is the line had moved 4.5 points before the general public even knew Hurts was injured.  If you were betting on the Cowboys, you'd much rather lay 1.5 than six, but sports books' overwhelming advantage is intel.  When they can move a line like that before the news breaks, the average bettor doesn't have a chance. Down under made the point that you're better off keeping an eye on Vegas than buying into the posturing coming from the Eagles.  He is correct.

With that said, I kind of like Eagles getting 4.5.  I think at worst, Minshew manages the game and keeps it close.

Minshew is gonna go scorched earth on the Cowboys to honor Mike Leach.

I agree and I'm not even from Washington.

Gonna be hilarious when the game starts and Ian Book comes out for the first snap.

Highly doubt a line would shift because of illness on a Wednesday....LeanGM's thought seems much more plausible.

Either way, it HAS hedged.

This definitely doesn't bode well for his chances Saturday. I think if he was feeling as "great" as Shane said, they would at least have him out there.

I'm not sure what the schedule this week is or if there even is a practice tomorrow, so we'll see.

Giants play the Vikings at 1

We play at 4..if the vikes lose and we clinch #1 why would they even consider playing Hurts ?

We won't have 1 clinched.

I figured my understanding was wrong as there was no previous mention of this and I wouldn’t be the first one to think of that scenario 🤣

Yeah, Dallas would still have a shot at it.

But Minnesota would be out.

Eagles would have to lose out in either scenario.

It’s bird flu

Micah Parsons isn't that great anyway, it's the team, the system.

Not right bro. Vikings, Dallas, and i believe SF each need to lose 1 more game. Then we can lose out.

I don't think SF has the tiebreakers to overcome the Eagles at this point

Yeah just Dallas and the Vikings. If they both lose 1 we’re home and hosed

According to this, 49ers can still get #1 seed: http://www.playoffstatus.com/nfl/nfcstandings.html

Yeah, 1% chance.  They have Brock Purdy at QB.

You guys need to quit being a bunch on Nancy's, Minshew will handle the Cowboys.

Interesting. All I have heard is Eagles need a win or a Cowboys and Vikings loss to clinch, but apparently if Eagles lose out and 49ers win out with a Vikings loss gets them the #1 seed.
