Doesn’t matter who’s the QB if the Oline can’t block, the WR’s can’t get open, the coaches can’t coach and the GM can’t identify talent.

  • So we had to listen to an entire week of "He runs too much".   What will the talking points be this week?  Jalen and this Team can win in multiple ways.  Stop trying to put him in some box where he on

Interesting. All I have heard is Eagles need a win or a Cowboys and Vikings loss to clinch, but apparently if Eagles lose out and 49ers win out with a Vikings loss gets them the #1 seed.

The Eagles technically don’t have the East locked up. There’s work to be done, but it comes down to winning one game.

9ers have a 0.7% shot at getting the #1 seed on 538.com.

Cowboys are 0.6% and Vikings are 0.8%.

So he’s officially doubtful now. Isn’t time to accept he’s not playing Saturday bud?

First, I must have missed the memo. All I see is DNP, not "doubtful." Second, let me know when he's ruled "out." When he is ruled "out," I won't expect him to play. I, personally, am not all that concerned about his injury. I have no problem with him playing. I don't live my life in fear of bad things happening.

@EazyEaglez, brkmsn is officially listed as probable to cry when Hurts doesn’t play.

You seem to have a problem with him not playing though. Apparently you do have fears. For as adamant you are about Hurts playing even if he’s Hurt then you must be so afraid Minshew is going to fail.

I just have a real problem with not playing our best players in meaningful games. I hated starting Gerry at LB when we had Edwards sitting on the bench. I hated using Mahe to do punt returns when we had Westbrook and Sheppard.

If Hurts is ruled out against dallas, I will be behind Minshew 100%. I am extremely happy that Minshew is our backup. He played very well for us last season against the Jets. He's an easy person to root for. He started the meaningless game against dallas last year, but played only with the players on offense and defense that weren't being rested. We are playing on a short week and because of the funeral, Minshew already missed some preparation. It's not uncommon for a backup QB to have a lackluster performance in their first game as a replacement. We are playing a team that has a very good DC and some good defensive players as well. As much as I hate dallas and hate to think we could lose to them, it would be incredibly stupid to think they aren't as good as their record. There's a possibility, as much as we all don't want to believe it, that dallas could win out and the Eagles lose out and we could be playing all our playoff games on the road. So until we have that #1 seed locked up, I want our best players to play.

I saw Hurts play "hurt" Sunday and he played well. I would take this hurt Hurts over Minshew any day of the week. It's that simple. Lock up the#1 seed and then rest everybody for the last 2 games and first round bye. Never throw away an opportunity and take the future for granted.

Multiple players talked about how good Minshew looked today.

Goedert said the ball didn’t hit the ground.

.. and you think we're going to pass all day against dallas?

Gotta get home field throughout, one way or another.

You can’t look at every situation as the same bud. Is having Hurts in a game that means more for Dallas that it does for the Eagles worth it when we are trying to win a Championship? I’d rather let Hurts heal, be 100% and dominating like he has been for a playoff run rather than see him further his injury and then he’s out too long. You remember what happened when RG3 came back too soon right? How about Wentz in 2019? Sometimes it is better to wait. I could see if our backup was Chase Daniel or something, but it’s not. I think Minshew with this roster can get the job done so our MVP level quarterback can come back. You know something else. Jalen is probably lucky. He knew  he was hurt more than he was letting on. He probably shouldn’t have stayed in that game. Sometimes the coaches need to protect the player from himself.

I think Dallas is going to load the box and force Minshew to beat them.

THANK YOU!! I cringe everytime I see that nonsense and it pisses me off that they continue doing it. This is why although I live Sanders I still say we need bruising "angry run" backs like we had during the superbowl run a la Blount and Ajayi......

Right, while I know they don't have the balls to draft these two, I sure as hell would, Charbonnet (UCLA) and Rodriguez (Kentucky)......they'd be damn near unbeatable.

There was a lot of controversy regarding RG3's return and whether the doctors cleared him.

Hurts playing after the injury helped us secure the win. Had we lost that game, we would need a couple wins in the last 3 games to get the #1 seed which means less rest and/or healing for everybody. Once again, we just see things differently. I see almost a month of no games for Hurts after the dallas game if we win.

I think you might see a small amount of Hurts at some point from now to the playoffs, but I’m okay with them getting him as healthy as possible because I believe they can win a game with Minshew and I believe that Hurts will be fine with rest when he comes back.

I love when you follow your buddies out of the blog and try to pile on. I see you're parroting another "approved opinion." There are leaders and followers ... and tag-alongs.

You and I both know it’s Jalen without question. That isn’t my argument, but that doesn’t mean they’re hopeless without Jalen. Remember we won a Super Bowl with the backup. We are just asking Minshew to win one game with an elite level roster. He could game manage a win.
