Doesn’t matter who’s the QB if the Oline can’t block, the WR’s can’t get open, the coaches can’t coach and the GM can’t identify talent.

  • So we had to listen to an entire week of "He runs too much".   What will the talking points be this week?  Jalen and this Team can win in multiple ways.  Stop trying to put him in some box where he on

Multiple players talked about how good Minshew looked today.

Goedert said the ball didn’t hit the ground.

Na Brown looked good in practice too :excited:

You and I both know it’s Jalen without question. That isn’t my argument, but that doesn’t mean they’re hopeless without Jalen. Remember we won a Super Bowl with the backup. We are just asking Minshew to win one game with an elite level roster. He could game manage a win.

I agree, but I believe we are a better team with Jalen and believe we should put the best team out there until the #1 seed is ours. I'm not asking Jalen to play if he thinks he shouldn't, but I'm absolutely behind him if he wants to play.

I suggest you try it. Maybe you won’t be so scared then

So did JJAW. Minshew is a better player than both those guys though.

Lol, any athlete will always want to play. It’s not up to them. Dumbest take I’ve ever seen.

This is the problem right here. The player sometimes needs to be protected from himself. Remember how Agholor just begged for a TO with the Patriots, because the team and officials missed how the player had a concussion? Players always want to play, but that doesn’t mean they should. I want Jalen at his peak when it matters most and that’s the playoffs.

True...but I never put much stock into what a player looks like in practice.  Once the real bullets start flying, players either rise or whither.

They say Nick Foles is a very poor practice player, but he’s a gamer!

Herbert played several games with a rib injury. Was that a mistake?

The fact that Hurts played through the injury Sunday and it didn't affect his throws, demonstrates that it isn't too significant. The Eagles are being cautious in practice, which they should. He could be 100% in a couple days. We don't have to "save him from himself."

I love when you follow your buddies out of the blog and try to pile on. I see you're parroting another "approved opinion." There are leaders and followers ... and tag-alongs.

Who is the better QB, Minshew or Hurts?

How is that even a question ? Ofc it’s jalen hurts.

McNabb played several games with a groin injury until it finally ripped and he was lost for the year. When these a chance to allow something to heal over gambling to keep a guy who isn’t healthy out there I think it’s better to err on the side of caution. Now I don’t know much about Herbert’s injury, but if his playing won’t matter and he can’t injure it any further than it already is then sure play him, but if playing him could mean that he could be potentially injured worse then it’s a mistake. We don’t know much about Jalen’s shoulder injury other than it wasn’t a break nor was it a separation. We also don’t know if playing with it while he’s injured could make it worse even though he’s already played on it. Right now he’s not throwing and he’s not practicing. If it’s no big deal then he should be doing at least one of them.

Adrenaline sets in, at the moment then the discomfort takes over after the fact.  You've never woken up the next morning and a sprained ankle or torn something is a lot worse?  What does Herbert have to do with anything?  What is it with you Hurts Only Fans that you constantly have to bring up other QB's on other teams.  Fact is, our QB is dinged up.  We need our QB to be healthy and effective for the playoffs.  Giving him time to get back to 100% is the most logical decision.  Of course, the player is going to want to play.  You take that decision away from him.

He could be 100% in a couple days?  According to who?

I said "could" not "will." Obviously we don't know but as fans people are already making the decision as if they are 100% certain.

Hard to say a guy is going to play on Saturday when he didn’t practice on Wednesday.

I don't mind Hurts playing if it's a steady dose of handing the ball to the RBs, but we can also do that with Minshew, so let Jalen rest.

There was a lot of controversy regarding RG3's return and whether the doctors cleared him.

Hurts playing after the injury helped us secure the win. Had we lost that game, we would need a couple wins in the last 3 games to get the #1 seed which means less rest and/or healing for everybody. Once again, we just see things differently. I see almost a month of no games for Hurts after the dallas game if we win.

Do you want him rolling into the playoffs not playing a meaningful game for a month ??

Bad plan.  You rest him this week to get him healthy, play him next week if ready to go, then get a series or two in the last game.  Even if he does not play a couple series the last game, if he plays against the Saints, he still has 3 weeks off before the playoff game.

I think playing the first quarter or even first half against the giants is ideal.

Agreed.  Rested week 18 last year, and the offense was totally out of sync to start the Tampa Bay game.  This team should not be clinching and resting for multiple week, or any weeks.   You play some week 18, then have a bye week.

I would add that Hurts should only do straight handoffs and throws. No designed runs, no keeps on RPOs or ROs

Never any doubt @brkmsn

Smart move.  Cowboys would’ve been gunning for him.

@brkmsn, I mean, it's not like most of us have not been saying this since the news broke.
