He played well. He had a short week especially going to Leach's funeral. Defense played bad.

D gave us 7 points and a chance to win the game at the end against 4 TOs by the Offense. Can't really fault them that much.

Doesn’t matter who’s the QB if the Oline can’t block, the WR’s can’t get open, the coaches can’t coach and the GM can’t identify talent.

  • So we had to listen to an entire week of "He runs too much".   What will the talking points be this week?  Jalen and this Team can win in multiple ways.  Stop trying to put him in some box where he on

They were putrid. Did you watch the game?

More importantly...get well soon Hurts.

Did you watch the O turn the ball over 4 times?

But yeah, get well soon Hurts.

I fault them for 3rd and 30 lol. Otherwise, they played well enough to win, and had 2 big stops to limit dallas to FGs when it could've been over on those turnovers.

Yeah that was bad, just plain awful.

The defense isn't why we lost. They had some big stops to limit Dallas to FGs on a short field at the end, giving the offense a chance to win, but they blew it.

I did. Still going to fault the defense for giving up 40 and leaving players wide open all night.

It was a perfect storm. Offense blew. Defense blew.

I fault the O more.

Define "well."  I think he had a pretty decent game, but he was high a lot, and pretty off with his throws. Davonta made some great catches, but Watkins' route running is pretty awful.  How he lets the defender take the inside position on him is embarrassing.

Limited practice, 1st start this season, against a good defense on the road. What do you expect from a backup.

*shrugs* this game wasn't a must win, so I'm OK with the loss. We win next week and everything's good

It was a great backup performance but he is what he is, 85% really good plays and 15% head scratching F ups that hurt, they didn't lose because of him though

It's fine to not expect him to light it up, but I'm not going to say he played well when he had a lot of bad throws and 2 costly turnovers.  The Scott fumble I put on him, and not Minshew though.

So I’m curious what alternative to Hurts that everyone was crying for this past off-season has actually done anything of merit? Where’s the better option at?

Is he definitely out next week?

I hate to be that guy but he has to play.

no he is playing I would bet

Just in case some of the Eagles fans were wondering it’s not the system.

Minshew did ok. But Hurts certainly opens up the playbook more. Just don’t run him into the ground.

Yeah that argument needs to be put to bed. It's not the system.

Hurts makes that one or 2 play difference today that is needed, Minshew played to his abilities well, he didn't choke but he is what he is

Hurts would've made a difference. Especially the rushing TD attempt.

But also Sanders fumble, Watkins mistakes, injuries to Lane, Davis, Maddox. And Gannon's coaching.

I don't think Hurts could have overcome 4 TOs, now you could argue we wouldn't have had 4 TOs with him, which is fair.

Can’t be that angry about Minshew today. He played to the best of his abilities.

At the very least, the running game would’ve been twice as good with hurts in. The zone reads and stretches are usually money plays. Without Jalen, there’s no reason to even look at the qb and they pinned their ears back and attacked the gaps on running downs.

The two fumbles could be related to RPO mishaps that might not happen with Hurts out there. The two picks? Toss up because Quez has cost Hurts an interception or two in the past also. The last two plays I believe Hurts definitely makes a difference over Minshew.
