The Eagles’s offensive line is no good.

That is of course assuming that the injuries don't continue?

Well we could always sign more FAs and spend more draft picks and hope the injuries don't continue with them as well? Do you see what I'm saying?

Oh absolutely. The issue is internal and until they figure out what that issue is they may well continue to have injuries at the rate they have.

Injuries aren't something you can control.

Brooks is pretty much already back at full health. The Eagles activated his 21 day practice window this last week.  Lane actually ended this season with surgery so that his ankle would heal correctly this time. He should easily be good to go for OTAs and camp. Having Dillard back is great for competition, but the job is probably Mailata's in the end. He's already playing at the level of a top-10 LT in this league. I don't get where all this "hoping" is coming from. Other than hoping we don't see new injuries, these old ones will be non-factors heading into 2021. We have one more game to go tonight and then 2020 can become a memory. We need to stop acting like everything that happened this year is likely to happen again next year. It's not.

The post you quoted doesn't even mention Herbig which was another good development for this team this year even though it has largely gone under the radar.

So ... to answer your question, we are relying on proven, great players to start along with experienced, improving young players to provide depth, challenge for starting time and/or win starting jobs. That is how things work every year. How could this possibly be a negative heading into 2021?

Agreed 100%. The projected offence looks pretty deep once we get everybody back from injury.

I do think we need to find a way to sign a mid tier FA WR. A lot on the market, so see if we can get a good deal for JuJu or Marvin Jones etc. Feel with Jeffery and Jackson gone we need a veteran presence with the young WRs.

But the draft should be D early and often as you say.

We've heard this for the last 2 years:  experienced veterans returning from injury, promising guys taking the next steps in their 2nd or 3rd years and before last season people said the offense was stacked.

Brooks and Lane Johnson are now injury prone.  They are like Peters was, can't rely on them to play a full season anymore.  Both have been great players in the PAST.

The team has suffered a big injury problem for the last 3 seasons.

The O line has some pieces and yes IF the vets stay healthy that's great.  But Kelce may retire, Brooks and Lane will get injured again it's just a matter of how much time they'll miss.  Dillard is a question mark and already has missed an entire season with injury.

At WR, Jeffrey and Jackson will likely be gone and Reagor has had what 2 or 3 injuries already?  Fulgham and Ward were practice squad guys who performed well at first then came back down to earth.  Ertz will likely be traded.  They have scrub RBs behind Sanders, who himself has injury concerns and needs a proper complementary back.

This is a 4 win team that is dysfunctional with cap hell, bad drafting, bad coaching and decisions.  The O line has had major injuries for years, in fact the one thing you can count on is injuries and having to rely on backups to start.

I agree there is no sure thing in terms of WR. That's the one place I want to find a way to land a veteran.

O-Line, I hear you, but we do have depth there. Dillard is a first round pick who was projected to start. He should be healthy. Mailata was very good and Driscoll played well. We need to add on the inside, especially if Kelce retires, but we still have Isaac and Nate Herbig played really well.
