July 24, 20214 yr Author Bumble match turns in January 6 suspect who allegedly whipped police https://www.cnn.com/2021/07/23/politics/capitol-riot-bumble-dating-app-match-andrew-taake/index.html Quote Screenshots of their Bumble chat show that Taake told the match he was "peacefully standing there" at the Capitol. But prosecutors say he was involved in two violent attacks against police who were defending the building. Footage from the front lines shows Taake using pepper spray against the police line and later striking police with a metal whip, according to court filings. He has been charged with several federal crimes, including felony assault on a police officer, civil disorder and obstruction of congressional proceedings. He hasn't yet entered a plea. He's now the second known Capitol defendant who was arrested because of online dating gone awry. A man from New York was charged in April after a Bumble match turned him in. These insurrectionists sure are the best and brightest Trump supporters have to offer.

Yet here we still are. Assaulting a police officer, vs. storming into the US Capitol to stop the certification process of an already certified election. Had that mob succeeded in say, hanging Mike Pence---just how do you compare the two actions? It's a completely different set of circumstances. Out come of one persons arrest, compared to a mob possibly starting another civil war. Stop the stupid comparisons!!! There is nothing to compare to since it has never happened before. WHY can't you thick heads get that?

WHY can't you thick heads get that? Uhh, so much wrong with this post it's tough to begin. First, obviously, there needs to be a distinction in the way we talk about nonviolent offenders who simply entered the capitol and left without harming anyone on their own accord. This group is made up of probably the large majority of people who protested at the capitol that day. The people who tried to "hang Pence" if that can be proved, should obviously face harsher penalties. The people that assaulted police should as well, and the masterminds behind the "storming of the capitol" should also face consequences. We also need to find out just how many feds played significant roles in this as well. Finally, celebrating the fact that an officer had to have reconstructive surgery on his face when a BLM rioter attacked him is just gross. I thought you backed the blue? Surprising that you'd be glad the charges got dropped on that dude.

Their Claims Don't Add Up. https://news.yahoo.com/republicans-blaming-pelosi-jan-6-122152539.html Quote "The American people deserve to know the truth that Nancy Pelosi bears responsibility as speaker of the House for the tragedy that occurred on Jan. 6,” said Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., the party’s No. 3 leader. Quote A Times investigation detailed why it took nearly two hours to approve the deployment on Jan 6. After rioters breached the Capitol, Sund called Irving at 1:09 p.m. with an urgent request for the National Guard. Irving approached Pelosi’s staff with the request at 1:40 p.m., and her chief of staff relayed it to her at 1:43 p.m., when she approved it. But it would be hours more before Pentagon officials signed off on the deployment and informed the District of Columbia National Guard commander that he had permission to deploy the troops. These reality shunning nitwits have no morals. No integrity.

July 28, 20214 yr 3 minutes ago, Toastrel said: Of course - politician do not like to punish other politicians. Pathetic. Quote Speaking to Portland radio talk show host Lars Larson in KXL Tuesday afternoon, Nearman said he pled guilty to avoid having to pay his attorney to sift through all the evidence against him. "I really would have preferred to make it go to trial,” said Nearman. "The legal bills were stacking up. It made more sense to pay (a fine) and do a little community service, rather than pay twenty or thirty thousand more to attorneys.” Nearman told Larson that while he admitted guilt in court, "I don’t think I committed a crime and I don’t think I did anything wrong.” The bolded section alone is worth a few months in jail.
