https://secondnexus.com/madison-cawthorn-political-hostages-video

Says it is time to break out the 'political prisoners' and the get ready for Insurrection Round 2.

Congressman Madison Cawthorn of North Carolina.

They voted for him. I only lived in NC for a few years, but the natives were largely nutcases. Most of the sanity that resides in the state is from the influx of "yankee transplants".

The state is pretty diverse with a variety of big towns / small cities.  We all know the joke about PA - Philly and Pittsburgh with Alabama in the middle.  North Carolina is harder to pin down.  Lol

The research triangle and Charlotte were normal, basically South Carolina everywhere else

To be fair, I lived really close to the SC border.

You'd think after the FBI admitted that it wasn't pre-planned and, given that a grand total of 0 are charged with insurrection, people would no longer be on board with this psychotic notion that anyone present that day should be locked up indefinitely, but you haven't met the deranged psychos on CVON.

So you think hundreds of people caught breaking and entering into a joint session of Congress should be let out of jail because it was just a temper tantrum? Nice take.

They should be given a trial. Those that attacked police should be sentenced accordingly. Those that simply walked into the building (at times at the invitation of Capitol Police) and left should definitely not be held a second longer.

Terrorists should go unpunished is a shocking and not at all insane take from the dumbest cult on the planet.

Charge anyone who entered the building with any crime you can charge them with. I am pretty sure every one of them can be charged with trespassing on goverment grounds and interrupting congress. And investigate and discipline any cop that is on tape letting anyone in. Pretty cut and dry IMO. Time consuming but worth it.

Who is charged with terrorism?

If they had tickets for a Capitol tour that day they should go free, but if they didn’t 2-3 years in prison sounds about right.

There was talking of charging BLM protesters with sedition before Jan 6th.

agreed. Although I would get a kick out of watching conservatives smash their cell phones.

Putting aside the obviously disgusting use of coercion on the GOP's part, I am not sure what Federal law they would be violating. Assuming this is a request and not a subpoena, the companies are free to either comply or tell the commission to get a court order/subpoena (which they likely could). But I'm not sure how it works with requests from Congress.

Still, no idea what Federal law they would be violating if they complied. Read your cell phone contract, Kevin. They own the data, not you.
