Those that simply walked into the building (at times at the invitation of Capitol Police) and left should definitely not be held a second longer.

August 31, 20214 yr Charge anyone who entered the building with any crime you can charge them with. I am pretty sure every one of them can be charged with trespassing on goverment grounds and interrupting congress. And investigate and discipline any cop that is on tape letting anyone in. Pretty cut and dry IMO. Time consuming but worth it.

Assuming this is a request and not a subpoena, the companies are free to either comply or tell the commission to get a court order/subpoena (which they likely could). But I'm not sure how it works with requests from Congress. Still, no idea what Federal law they would be violating if they complied. Read your cell phone contract, Kevin. They own the data, not you.
