How did someone get them in there under normal circumstances?

Yes, they were there to reject democracy and take over the federal government and everyone who disputes that interpretation is a terrorist sympathizer. Likewise, everyone who rioted when Trump was inaugurated in 2016 were terrorists and insurrectionists attempting to overthrow a democratically elected President, right?

I don't know that a lot of his supporters just decided to stay home because they didn't trust the mail in ballots. In any case, that was all before he tried to literally subvert democracy in the most blatant of ways. Nothing drives opposition turnout quite like a reviled villain.
