February 19, 20214 yr Wow, we're now arguing the officer sporadically died because.....? That suddenly negates the violence and destruction? You people are beyond stupid.

But we don't know. Stupid librul.

If he did, then he would be the only person who died who was not a part of the group causing the riot in the first place Not significant in the grand scheme of things, in light of the hundreds of injuries to police (some serious); the attacks on police; the destruction of property, etc.

Are we forgetting that a guy ACTUALLY threw a fire extinguisher at a police officer while another rioter threw an officer over some type of ledge? This is all literally caught on video. Again, what are we even arguing here? That's the bottom-line outrage. The rest is collateral damage.

February 19, 20214 yr 9 minutes ago, Seventy_Yard_FG said: Which is itself insignificant in the grand scheme of all the attacks on police and the property damage since George Floyd Why are you comparing this to unrelated things? The capitol riots were insignificant compared to the destruction during 9/11 too. So what? Its apples and oranges. They are entirely different events. Capitol: having to do with our electoral process and transfer of power and an attack on the very heart and inner sanctum of our government. Floyd riots were not that. Nice try to equate 2 different things though. Are you one of those people who believe Trump really won the election? This nonsense of the OTHER SIDE does it too (see Floyd riots) is coming from the same places that spouted Trump really won drivel. Are you really that sad that you don't understand the difference between the friggin' PRESIDENT and his henchmen falsely claiming election fraud; riling up the base and eventually spurring on an attack on the very heart of a our government in an attempt to change the election results and keep a president in power. Floyd was anger at police over perceived unjustified police violence against blacks. 2 ENTIRELY SEPARATE THINGS - NOT RELATED AT ALL. It's what the capitol rioters were TRYING TO ACCOMPLISH and WHO lied to them for months to spur them on that makes it so horrific. If you don't get that - -you don't understand how our gov't works. Trying to stop or bring attention to police violence (however misguided) DOES NOT EQUAL trying to thwart an election, the transfer of power and the very basis for our democracy, with the encouragement and glee of the LEADER of the COUNTRY. OMG are you that dumb?

True story -- I have a relative (old guy) who was grocery shopping in Bala Cynwyd shopping center. When returning to his car, 3 guys (one with a sawed off shotgun), forced him into his car and made him drive to an ATM and withdraw money. They then dumped him on the side of the road a few miles away. They didn't really touch him, but he shortly thereafter died of a heart attack (he had a heart condition). This happened in 1980 -- 2 of the guys are still in jail -- for murder.
