Why is that incredible?  They said as much over and over again leading up to the event.  They had zip-tie handcuffs and plans to take officials hostage.  They beat a cop to death and attacked dozens more.  They attempted to blow up both the RNC and the DNC headquarters.  I mean, Jesus, what more did they need to do before you acknowledge it was an insurrection?

Yeah, but it was poorly executed so we can't really say they "tried".

Oh, you couldn't pick up on the fact that I wasn't being serious with that post either? Yes, I want Aunt Tifa to get 200 years Kz.

Oh good, so I'm still completely nailing it with this post:

So you're just not going to answer what you think the appropriate punishment is, huh? Gotta wait for those official talking points.

I was worried you might actually provide an opinion before you have one spoon fed to you.

Thank God the FBI's not as soft on terrorism as Kz is.  We'd be overrun.

Yes, all of "them" did all that. This is an accurate representation of what happened and not some lib fantasy.

Still no opinion posted.

Did all of them take part in the planned attack?  No idea.  But if you get caught up in the moment and join a group of terrorists in a very clear insurrection against the United States, you pay a steep price.  Too bad.  So sad.

"Not terrorists”

The Domestic Terrorists came equipped with tools to take over the Capitol. Now they are going to come with guns. No doubt about it they will use them. It's going to be very violent.

This logic is fun to apply to all protest activity. Well, if you get caught up in the moment and protest with a mob that later commits mass acts of arson, you should pay a steep price.

kz, please update your meme to show the crowd beating the police officer. Then it will be truthful. kthxbye

They didn't "later" commit anything.  They were doing it at that exact moment.  I'm not suggesting arresting everyone that was actually protesting peacefully outside with anything.  They were exercising their right to protest.  But anyone that took part in the attack against our country should be dealt with as a seditious traitor.  I can't believe there's disagreement here.

It shouldn't even be possible to be this accurate with predictions, but here we are.

OK, I'll try to get your opinion since Paul is struggling, what should be the charges and sentences for those present at and inside the Capitol?

Really? Can you really not believe it? Yes, the dude is literally defending terrorism right now but it's not off brand.

They should be charged with sedition.  The sentence should be long.  I don't have a number because I'm not a federal prosecutor.

Sedition with each person having their day in court. It can range anywhere from 1-20 years. Then for the people who destroyed property or, you know, actually murdered someone they can get extra charges.

While this is going on

Kz wants to make sure we show leniency with the terrorists.  Cool.

Federal crimes always have a heavier penalty.  Part of the reason stuff like peddling child porn was made a federal crime.  These folks are going to do a lot of prison time.

Well, hold on. Let's wait and see if it's just a sucky attempt first. Then we will label it appropriately.

Yes, "literally defending terrorism" is certainly what I'm doing. This is another spot-on, accurate portrayal of the discussion.

Which is why I asked what you wanted them to receive.

Just for the sake of an example:  vandalism at a national park carries a heavier penalty than vandalism at a state park.  These folks attacked the U.S. Capitol building...
