As I said, I agree with more strictly enforcing laws against hiring illegals. However, it doesn’t mean I ignore the fact that 2-4M people still cross our borders illegally every year. That group in particular is far more likely to have traffickers, etc. amongst its ranks than the people coming in through a legal point of entry and overstaying.

End all benefits for Illegals -- no more drivers licenses, no welfare, no Obamacare, etc. If an illegal immigrant comes to the emergency room, treat him and then turn him over to ICE. Stop trying to make illegal immigrants comfortable and make it extremely difficult to live here illegally. 2. Enforce and enhance laws against hiring illegal labor -- make it a criminal offense to hire illegal immigrants with serious fines and jail time for those that do so willfully. Actually use E-Verify and crack down on employers that don't comply. Make the cost of hiring illegal immigrants exponentially higher than the benefit. 3. Create a guest worker program for the agricultural industry -- let those workers come in on guest worker visas, work, and then go home. If they don't go home and try to overstay, deport them and ban them from US immigration for life. 4. Create a path to legalization for those here already -- NO CITIZENSHIP. There is no way we are going to deport 11 million people. Devise a system for those who have no criminal record and employment to pay taxes if they (i) start paying taxes, (ii) pay a fee and (iii) pass a citizenship test. 5. End the drug war -- maybe stop turning so many countries south of Mexico into narco-terrorist states run by drug cartels.
