It’s why we see the MAGAts in here pretending to be peaceniks and crying about forever wars they don’t really give a crap about other than their compulsion to dutifully repeat whatever BS Trump tells them to. Ukraine is going to lose. More funding will just prolong the inevitable and send more Ukrainian and Russian soldiers to the meat grinder. The only moral thing to do is to seek peace.

I know "legal immigration" is something you frightened MAGAts have nightmares about, but it's also a big part of the issue. Right, dems want to create more "pathways to citizenship" and their bills are loaded with poison that does that. They want a never-ending stream of foreigners to enter the country. Republicans voters and some of their politicians don't want that hence the impasse.
April 5, 20241 yr 40 minutes ago, JohnSnowsHair said: Finally, that bill was passed entirely by Republicans - some of whom aren't even in Congress anymore - with absolutely no input from Democrats. You may see that as a "positive", but you're an idiot who has no clue about how representative government actually works. No sheet dems weren't involved, that's why it directly addressed the issues without any foreign aid handouts and other stupid crap like immediate access to work visas for border crossers like the amazing bipartisan bill. It's just an impasse. One side wants to import third world immigrants faster. The other side doesn't. There's not going to be a bipartisan solution when the sides are that far off.
April 5, 20241 yr Remain in Mexico was a great policy immediately removed by Biden. Why the hell would we need Mexicos permission for that? They're the ones ushering these "asylum seekers" through the entire length of their country to the US. Maybe if Mexico knew the door would be closed for these phony "asylum seekers" they would actually prevent the problem before it reaches our border. The Democrats are so painfully wrong about immigration, its insane how juvenile and Pollyanna adults can actually be about the issue

Kind of pointless at this point, right? Dems will only vote for a bill loaded with foreign aid handouts and more funding so asylum claims can be processed faster. Republicans want less illegal and legal immigration. It's a complete impasse by both parties. It's poinltess because the leader of the GOP has blatantly admitted anything getting passed would be a win for BIden. He literally took pride in saying the quiet part out loud.

If dems want to pass something, it's because the deal would be horrible for republicans. If republicans agreed to pass something favorable to them/their voters, it wouldn't stand a chance in hell of getting past dems. That's because one party wants third world immigrants and the other doesn't. It really is that straightforward.

Because they actually care about trying to address the issue and don't care if they might anger the orange manchild everyone else in their party is so afraid of.

Wow, it was so bipartisan! It's not like we can read the details and we know exactly what was in it. I know liberals are really stupid people, but talking about illegal immigration with them just takes it to another level.

April 5, 20241 yr The Republicans have been bleeding support since 2016. Every time they go more MAGA they lose more ground to Democrats. 2018 and 2020 were bloodbaths for them. 2022 should have been an absolute layup for Republicans to get strong majorities in the Senate and House, and they completely bungled it. Yet these fools keep acting like they have public support and a mandate, refusing at every turn to work with Democrats to solve problems. Idiots like MTG and Chip Roy are holding the House hostage with their stupidity. Even since 2022 the Republican advantage in the House has eroded to a couple seats. But they keep puffing their chests like they're the ones in charge. It's laughable.
