Trump is not doing anything to facilitate his release AND they have done nothing about bringing Garcia the same due process he would have received had the mistake not been made. The part she got right was that SCOTUS did not specifically say the WH had to effectuate the return and left that for the District court to clarify and with the instruction to make sure that the rights of the Executive branch were upheld. So, in the end of the day the WH is absolutely defying SCOTUS as they are not doing anything let alone everything in their power to facilitate his release.

Nowhere have I claimed that the Trump administration needs to forcibly retrieve Garcia in order to abide by the Supreme Court's ruling. Again, I have already acknowledged that THIS is where the wiggle room exists. Yes, the Trump administration must facilitate his return back to the US to handle his case as it would have been handled had he not been illegally sent to El Salvador in the first place. That doesn't mean that the Trump administration must take out all stops to get him back. If they request him back and El Salvador says no, that doesn't mean that the Trump admin must now send Seal Team 6 over there to break him out of that prison and bring him back. And nowhere have I claimed that the Trump administration just take every measure imaginable to bring him back.

If they can't bring him back, then Garcia's family will sue the government for relief and will easily win, since it's already been acknowledged by the supreme court that what the government did was illegal. I guess they'll just take the money from the DOGE savings to pay the family out.

I was not proven wrong. Nowhere have I said that the court's order to return Garcia home and treat his case as it would have been had he not been deported to El Salvador is without limitations. Again, if you could actually read what I wrote, I've already acknowledged that the Administration has wiggle room in what they can claim they can do to try to bring Garcia back to the US. It's really frustrating having to repeat myself over and over again. I'd appreciate it if you could read what I write the first time...

Just as an aside that really has nothing to do with the thread, if you take a look at the EMB, there's minimal discussion of the Eagles on these boards. Practically all of the activity seems to be taking place in What's Up and CVON.
