If it was Trump who wanted to get rid of it he'd declare some sort of national emergency and call anyone owning a gun a domestic terrorist who can be transported to a gulag in El Salvador without proper due process. I'm talking about actual sheeting on the Constitution not just farting and aiming in a specific direction.

The republican senate approving a supreme court justice with a simple majority after the dems opened up that pathway by changing the rules to allow for federal judges to be approved with a simple majority is an example of the dems getting a taste of their own medicine.

A man with a protection order being illegally deported to a prison in El Salvador without due process is the president blatantly violating the constitution and it is the height of hypocrisy for you to now go "oh well, it's not a big deal. This is just a one off and would never happen to an American citizen. There's a valid debate to be had on how to treat an American citizen who has joined the ranks of the an enemy organization you are currently at war with. My personal opinion, if you are at war with an enemy country/organization, and one of the fighters/leaders in that organization is an American citizen, that really doesn't make a difference to me. But I can certainly understand the other side of the argument.

Are we currently in a war with Kilmar Garcia that I'm unaware of that gives the president the authority to disregard due process?
