News flash: even if someone genuinely believes in a dictatorship, that does not automatically make them a fascist. Stalin was a dictator. He was not a fascist. Caesar was a dictator. He was not a fascist. Every sovereign  monarch in history was a dictator, yet they were not fascists.

Open a history book. Learn a thing or two.

Oh, so you were hoping for a Communist dictatorship?

Or an old world emperor?

Sure you were, TEW.

Honestly, just a sense of duty would be a decent start, instead of them making every decision based on their own self interest and reelection chances.

Duty to the country pretty much ends the democratic party

They called Abbott and DeSantis, who told them the solution is to just bus and plane them all out to other destinations. Curious plans if they have political aspirations, to take their problems and ship it off to somebody else.... At least it seems Massachusetts can meet their needs and figure it out.

It's not just "their" problem. It's everyone's problem.

I thought they fact they got shipped out of Martha's Vineyard in 36 hours was entertaining.

Lmao. I hate to "both sides" it, but if that phrase is applicable anywhere its here. Keep being a partisan wingnut though.

Economy, national security, finance.

dems have no duty to any of that. Which are the foundational principles of the country

You prefer the most extreme 1/8th on each side of the aisle to pick the nominee?

K.

Yes, I prefer that people are selected by getting the most votes (or delegates), not by getting the most runner up votes. You’re fine with the end justifying the means no matter how unconstitutional or unAmerican, but you do you.

As it stands, Abbott and DeSantis offer no solution. And I can tell you've never been to Martha's Vineyard. The resources the migrants need aren't there.

lol @ this thread blowing up.

I’d actually hope for a Hoppeian libertarian if I wanted a dictatorship.

About 55.5% of the homes on Martha’s Vineyard are vacation homes — the highest rate in the entire nation, according to a 2019 report by the National Association of Realtors.

One local resident even urged former President Barack Obama to offer up his $12 million Vineyard vacation manse for shelter, according to the New York Post.

But none of those vacation homeowners apparently stepped up to offer shelter to the unexpected visitors.

No way president Obama would turn these people away.

😏

Wait....What?

🤣

You do. You’ve already said it’s preferable to a democracy.

And if we’re aiming for impossible fantasies that could never and will never happen like a weird hybrid-cult libertarian dictatorship that maintains liberty through some magical altruism of its divine leadership then I want a BJ from Natalie Portman.

The irony of this sentence coming from a guy who's gonna vote for Trump a third time.

Preferable to this democracy is what I said, and it was said to get you rabid mouth breathers going. It worked.

What I truly want is a republic with a limited electorate. Universal suffrage has clearly been a mistake.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Friday said Republicans busing illegal aliens to other states is much different than Biden doing the exact same thing.

🤣🤣🤣

Fox News interviewed some of the illegals standing outside of Harris’s residence and even they said the border is wide open.

"Vice President Harris said that the border is closed. Is the border closed? Do you believe that the border is closed or is it open?” Fox News reporter Griff Jenkins queried.

"It’s open, not closed. The border is open…everybody believes that the border is open. It’s open because we enter. We come in, free, no problem,” he said.

"Yeah, we came illegally, not legal,” he said.

Ranked choice voting is now "un-American?"

Mmmk.

GOP lip service to those things is just incredible. The current GOP is filled with lunatics who deny reality, but please, tell us more how wonderful the side you don't support is?

My buddy was messaging me.  He works for DHS and was sent to Yuma, AZ for 2 months on emergency duty.

He said during a typical 8 hour shift, he was processing about 1800 people, on average, and that his station was a smaller facility compared to others.   He said most of the people were from Central America, but about 30% were from Africa, Asia and the Middle East.

He said it's 1000x worse than what they are reporting.
