The "border deal" that's been proposed doesn't secure the border, it's just a ton of funding for legalizing "migrants" quicker. There really should be no compromise on this subject by republicans. Either Biden caves and we get actual border security or let the crisis continue so dems' stupidity can be on full display so that even the most brainwashed lemmings have to acknowledge what abject failures they are.

There is no border solution until illegal immigration is solved. We can't keep dumping money to secure the border when we can't figure out what to do with the people who keep showing up there.

Trump may have a solution to this too though.  If he turns the country into an undesirable, autocratic sheethole in economic ruin then people may not want to come here.  4-D chess.

It's not difficult to solve. Physical barriers to keep people out, ending retarded asylum claims, aggressive pursuit and deportation, ending birthright citizenship, stiffer penalties for hiring iillegals. All of which could be achieved for a fraction of the cost we pay now for housing and providing healthcare etc.

Well when I post it's been going on for Decades, (i.e. under both party Presidents) TEW is Quick to remind me illegal immigration is all the Democrats fault. Sounds pretty political to me. In his mind illegal immigration will only be solved when then number of illegals is brought to Zero. Only one party is interested in comprehensive immigration reform. And it's not the Republicans. Border Security, Border Security. Republicans won't allow Biden to even provide more funds for border security. Political Football at it's best.

Trump had a lot of successful border policies that Biden ended, leading to the unmitigated disaster we see now. He was also denied a border wall because DC is one big uniparty completely beholden to the donor class.

We have it figured out. It’s called deportation, where when they come here illegally, they are sent home.

But Democrats and leftist activists and organizations prevent this. They fight deportation at every turn, literally spending money — both private and public — to prevent it. They even go so far as using federal agencies to let illegals in and to stop state agents from preventing illegals from entering our country.

Yes, the US is a desirable place to live. And if you want that to continue you need to kick every single person who comes here illegally out of the country, immediately, and with prejudice. They should be prevented from ever entering the country legally again, their property should be confiscated, and if they are caught here again sentenced to forced labor building a border wall that would make the ones in Palestine look weak and pathetic.

But we won’t do that. Because democrats exist.
