Biden kept Trump tariffs in place and is planning on increasing them.

Well yeah, Biden is a liberal democrat, right?  Liberal democrats are in favor of having the government try to control market prices and are also in favor of higher taxes.  Makes sense that Biden would be in favor of it.   The real question is why was Trump in favor of them and why were so called "free market conservatives" also in favor of them?

Honestly, the midwit talking point about that bill fixing anything needs to end. There were pages of discussion on it earlier in the thread. Go back and look at how bad it was then come back and apologize for being a moron.

"Gee they didn't pass the 'border bill' that sent 4x the amount of money to ukraine and israel than to the border." I honestly thought when details of the bill came out no one would be stupid enough to act like it was anything but another fleecing of the US taxpayer, but then the TV told liberals to say it's republicans fault the border sucks and they're stupid enough to listen. Honestly unreal.

Awww, look at you. You can’t remember which party refused to work on aide for Ukraine unless there was something done at the border. Has someone beaten you over the head repeatedly since birth?

I think most people agree with the attempt to bolster American manufacturing and leveling the playing field between American and foreign companies.

Yeah, I think Republicans would have been open to sending more printed money to Ukraine if they got an actual border deal. They didn't - again read the details posted pages back.

But again, all this is moot, the Biden admin can secure the border without any taxpayer fleecing, they just choose not to. Cry about it, libtard.

Sure, and there are externalities to consider as well when looking at policies that would increase the cost of a foreign good.  I just don't know that adding tariffs to the imported good is the way to go about bolstering American manufacturing.  For starters, typically when Country A imposes a tariff on a good imported from Country B, Country B typically responds by imposing their own tariffs on goods imported from Country A.  So while Country A may have helped out one domestic company or industry, another domestic company or industry gets harmed by the tariffs that Country B just imposed.   Secondly, while a tariff on a good can help the domestic companies that produce said good, they end up harming the domestic companies that use the imported good as an input in their final product.   They have to raise the price of their product as their costs of goods has now just increased, which likely means consumers buy less of them, which likely means they don't need as large of a workforce as their sales are down and people have to be let go.

Not to mention that there's ways for foreign companies to get around those tariffs by shipping the goods to an intermediate country and then having shipper in the intermediate country ship the product to the destination country.

I remember a lot of Republicans being in support of the BIPARTISAN border bill. (You should use your new internet access to learn what BIPARTISAN means). While you’re at do some reading on the responsibilities of the Executive Branch of government and how executive orders are for government employees and emergencies. If it’s an emergency… why can’t the house of reps get to work on a bill? Hmm? What’s the hold up?

Lol. Printed money. 😂 Is that a code word for "surplus military supplies” or are you playing stupid again?

Additional 80 billion in foreign aid is printed money when your government is running a deficit, moron.

And yeah, it isn't some newsflash that there are a sheet ton of republicans whose number 1 priority is funding overseas conflicts.

It's hilarious that sheetlibs are now 100% on board with paying unlimited taxpayer money to fund wars overseas. All that had to happen was for the tv to say it's a good thing. That's it. It'll never stop being funny to me.

Anyway, think of how democrats at every single level of the government facilitated this murder:

From the federal government, down to the mayor, and to the sheriff. These people should all be stripped of any authority and prosecuted.

Holy sheet! You ain’t playing… you must have just been nonstop beaten over the head since birth!!!

😂😂😂You think we’re printing $100 bills for the Ukrainians to wad up and throw at the Russians for self defense. That was the best we could come up with to help a sovereign nation defend itself from invaders. We’ve spent trillions on military defense over the years… here wad up this cash money and throw it them!!! 😂😂😂

How do you interact with someone who is so dumb that he thinks because we aren't sending them cash, that 80 billion in additional aid isn't paid for by the taxpayer? Honestly, leftists aren't sentient. I'm interacting with a brick wall here.

"it's just 80 billion worth of stuff that's already made, that means there's no cost to the taxpayer. Checkmate!"

Holy sheet and I thought I was losing braincells by arguing with Van and the housewife.

Last question for you, then I have to get back to living a better life than you.

Were you beaten with a switch style stick that wasn’t heavy enough to cause brain damage, but also not painful enough to get you to stfu or was it a club type that just mushed your brain into what we’re dealing with here?

Yep, sounds about right for someone who was just arguing that 80 billion in aid isn't really 80 billion if the stuff we ship has already been manufactured. Thanks for contributing to probably the dumbest thing I've read on here in the last month or so.

@Kz!: We’re sending printed money to Ukraine.

me: no, dumbarse, it’s surplus military supplies so they can defend themselves.

@Kz!: I’m not stupid, I meant to say what you said.

Answer to my question: His brain was literally beaten into mush with a club.

Yep, they are all voting now... in Texas. Texas goes blue in in November. Game over Trumpbots.

White House refers to illegal immigrants as 'newcomers'

Just like he drew it up.

Oh wow, you mean the "border bill" is just a taxpayer handout to foreign countries and a bill to process illegals' faster. Wow, it's literally everything Republicans want! :excited:

Nothing is going to make the folks who vote on party lines change their vote so it will come down to undecided and/or if a 3rd party takes votes from one or the other.  Also which party can do a better job of scaring people into thinking the other party is going to cause WWIII or the downfall of America.  Either way it's a bad situation because it's going to be Trump or Biden for another 4 years unless something changes very soon.

Its not about party lines. Its about a president who will leave office when his term is up.

Party lines is a bad way of thinking about it in this day and age.  A ton of people have shifted parties over the last 8 years, more than any time probably since the Civil Rights bill.  A lot of the moderates and classic Republicans have shifted to the Dems and a lot of the radical elements of the left and some unaffiliated, normally nonvoters have shifted to the Republicans.
