I tell people all the time -- we were incredibly lucky that nothing challenging really happened for his first 3 years in office. Bush had 9/11 in his first year. Obama had the financial crisis. Bush Sr. = Gulf War. Most Presidents get challenged early on, but Trump could basically skate by and have no real crisis to confront while not even attempting to understand the job. It was dumb luck. We paid for all of that luck in year 4...

A prosecutor kind of touched on this last night: with Trump it's all about people. He doesn't communicate through email. It's all through code and intermediaries, so in cases against him, you need people to flip and spill the beans, which is why someone like Weisselberg is such a high-profile target in SDNY.
