I would fully expect any idiot shouting idiot opinions to poll in the single digits, but not at the percentages that are happening now. I don’t know how to fix that? Is it better education? Is what we are seeing, given the age of Trump supporters, the effects of leaded gasoline and time will fix it?

Getting rid of leaded gasoline certainly helped the crime rate, but sadly, this one's more mental than physical. I don't think there's much in the way of quelling it with any legislation in the information age. And education holds less meaning when every bit of information and misinformation is at your fingertips. Best you can ask for is to make sure the crazies have as little power as possible. The left has done a relatively decent job of that. The right has done an absolutely horrible job of it. I guess the hope is that once Trump dies off no one will be able to fill his shoes from a sheer gravitas standpoint and the lunatics will go back to the shadows. I don't have a lot of confidence in it though the fizzling out of DeSantis based on having zero charisma is a good sign.
