The crucifixion and rise of Jesus Christ was the holiday Christians were celebrating and Trump made a profit off of it. That should disturb all Christians. Easter is not a time for profit. Trump is like the money changers. How would Jesus feel about someone making profit on a holiday. How do Christians support that.
April 5, 20242 yr That Guy Who Backed Trump’s Bond? He May Not Have the Money https://finance.yahoo.com/news/guy-backed-trump-bond-may-213812449.html Quote n a court filing on Thursday, Knight Speciality Insurance Company revealed that its liquid assets don’t meet the needs of Trump’s already minimized bond. According to a financial assessment, the company, owned by billionaire Don Hankey, has just $138 million in "surplus.” Knight would therefore need to spend 127 percent of its reserves in order to cover Trump’s bond—far more than the 10 percent of a state-regulated suretor’s surplus that’s allowed by New York law. Lawyers for the attorney general’s office also noted that the insurance company was trying to operate "without a certificate of qualification” in the state. But that was, apparently, the plan all along, according to Knight’s president, Amit Shah. "Knight Specialty Insurance Company is not a New York domestic insurer, and New York surplus lines insurance laws do not regulate the solvency of non-New York excess lines insurers,” Shah told CBS. Shah also claimed that his company had more than $1 billion in equity, despite financial statements—which were only obtained after New York court clerks rejected the company’s original bond posting and ordered it to refile—indicating the firm only held $26 million in "cash and bank deposits,” with $483 million in stocks and bonds. James’s office has given Trump and his new financial bedfellows 10 days to "justify the surety.” There's a shocker.

April 5, 20242 yr John Eastman begs for pause in disbarment case so he can work to pay millions in legal fees, files Matt Gaetz affidavit calling criminal charges ‘politically motivated [I]f the Order placing Dr. Eastman on inactive enrollment were not stayed, **Dr. Eastman would lose his ability to make a living as an attorney,**” the Wednesday stay motion argues. ........Right, that's what it means when you are disbarred. Also this tidbit about Gaetz and MTG cause yeah, they are experts in the law: In addition to his own declaration, the stay motion is buttressed by six current clients who say they want to keep their lawyer — including Rep. Marjorie Taylor-Greene, R-Ga., and Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla. In substantially similar language, both GOP elected officials write: "I have personally reviewed the D.C. and Georgia indictments, and believe that the various charges and allegations against Dr. Eastman are meritless and politically motivated.”

April 9, 20242 yr Trump’s Idiot Lawyers Plan to Sue Judge in His First Criminal Trial It is the eleventh hour for Donald Trump in his bid not to stand trial in his criminal hush-money case. So he’s planning a new, frantic measure: suing the judge. Trump’s legal team is expected to file a lawsuit against Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan, who has reprimanded the former president’s lawyers for their conduct in court. The team’s latest genius move is to file an Article 78 action against Merchan, effectively asking an appeals court to throw out the gag order issued by Merchan against Trump and, crucially, to push a potential trial back until after the 2024 presidential election. Trump, with the backing of Fox News, has previously attacked Merchan and his daughter. Now he’s attempting to have Merchan removed. The action, described by The New York Times as "unorthodox,” is reportedly unlikely to succeed. The lawsuit is not yet public, but sources familiar with the matter confirmed to the Times that the legal team will likely file on Monday. The hush-money case is Trump’s first criminal trial on the calendar—expected to begin later this month. The news of the lawsuit comes not long after it was revealed that the surety company backing Trump’s $175 million bond in his civil fraud case does not have the funds to do so, and may not have legally promised to pay the penalty if his appeal is unsuccessful.
