Yes, but it's like someone going from HIV to AIDS. It's worse, but it all sucks. His base doesn't care and will never be convinced to leave him. 2024 is simply going to be a turnout game, and right now Democrats are too busy stabbing each other in the back and trying to kneecap Biden to get their voters motivated. There might be a REALLY small slug on independents that can be moved (likely former Republicans), but honestly, there's basically no one left who is undecided on these two. Biden's best strategy - his only strategy - is to motivate his base to come out and vote against Trump. They aren't going to come out to vote for Joe at this point. Every ad should be an attack ad. Highlight Project 2025, overturning Roe, cozying up to dictators and Trump's grifting. Attacking Trump's obvious mental incapacity is a double edged sword for Biden for obvious reasons. He needs to basically make an ad showing a Handmaid's Tale future and call it Trump's vision. It's all about using fear of Trump to drive turnout.
