And if a legitimate elector "votes their conscience" it could be successfully argued that it's consistent with an original safeguard of the Constitution and our system based on the federalist papers. Sending alternate electors is 100% criminal. Regarding meeting the electors, Clinton conceded the election and never endorsed or coordinated with any of them. Had she actually done so the movement would have almost certainly gained more traction than it ultimately did. It failed in large part due to her lack of support.
