Drafting that D line.

Nice...this is one of the guys I wanted to pick up. 

Don't know much about him, PFF gave him a 90.0 grade for the 2020 season.

NFLN listed his position as 'EDGE', I don't think I've ever seen that before. Why not just list his position as what it is, DE?

I've noticed that in recent years, especially on mock drafts people post. DE is listed as EDGE for some reason.

New defensive scheme:  8 DL - 1 LB - 2 CB

That started a few years ago.  Lots of sites list "EDGE" instead of DE.  Apparently it's because of the players that depending on the scheme would be an Edge rusher in a 3-4, or a DE in a 4-3.

What I've learned about defense being an eagles fan.

1. D line is the most important position on the face of the planet. It must be fed at the expense of all other positions.

2. CBs you can get out of the discount bin. If you actually get a star CB in FA they immediately become mediocre to bad. 

3. What's a Linebacker?

Yeah, it’s amazing that we get burned year after year by bad LB and CB play and yet we do little to address it in the draft...again. It’s kinda maddening. I hope Howie is working on a couple things in free agency.
