Never thought I’d do this but I felt the need to do it. I just saw "Warfare” in IMAX, and it’s the best war movie I’ve ever seen…..and there’s not a close 2nd.
I’m still in the parking lot (but only bc I’m giving out free handies after the show) bc It’s so f’ing good I felt the need to message all of you a-holes to go and see it immediately.  @mikemack8 - it was the first movie where my phists were clenched the entire time, but not in someone’s butthole!

This movie and the way it was done makes Saving Ryan’s Privates look like Miss Rachel.

I saw in it IMAX as well. Do you have military background? I enjoyed the movie but felt like it would probably capture what it’s like being in that deployment scenario and resonate more with combat vets than normies. There was like 3 times where the film made me "big jump” and I think I had an audible "Oh sheet!” during at least one of two of them.

not surprising Alex Garland was involved as several moments captured the tone that I felt watching Civil War.

Yeah some of the battle scenes in Civil War had a VERY realistic feel to them so I’m excited to see this

No, but Captain Gayhab has swallowed a ton of sea men and is at full salute for a man in uniform.

Agreed. I lol’d. And the ability to combine Sea Men in there just wrapped it all up in a pretty bow. Well done @paco you ****ot!

Probably the most accurate war movie I've ever seen.

No score. It's got a few things: camaraderie with the boys, boredom, confusion, and action.

It's also very very loud. Which is accurate.

Does a good job of showing the confusion of things, and doesn't have the "rah rah" glory type of ish that was in stuff like Saving Private Ryan and We Were Soldiers, which is not really in war.

the crazy chick with the short haircut

If you tell anyone else I said this I’ll deny it but, up until a few days ago I didn’t realize Miller was female. Doesn’t matter at all to the plot but thinking about Brand with another woman makes me happy.

Accountant 2 might have the most entertaining Bernthal performance I have seen to date. The movie overall was fine, but Bernthal alone elevates it a solid 20%!

Just saw Sinners. It was a good movie, a good soundtrack and a good time piece film. Not sure it was as good as the hype around it.

It was heavily influenced by From Dusk Till Dawn which is one of my all timers so I enjoyed it.

Looking forward to the next/final Mission Impossible....

Except Cruise says he wants to keep making them.

So then shouldn't this be Mission Impossible - Almost Final Reckoning? And shouldn't his line be "I need you to trust me....a couple more times."?

This is the Final Reckoning. There will be no more reckonings, only more impossible missions.

I love the Director Ryan Coogler, interested to see it.

So far all I've heard is Josh Allen needs to be worried because his girlfriend had a sex scene with Michael B. Jordan.

He needs to transition to making it more about the team. They have 2 tech guys, Simon Pegg now does a little field work in masks. I liked Rebecca Ferguson as Ilsa, gave them an international spy and someone who understood Ethan. It's weird to just recruit a thief and immediately Hayley Atwell (who I also like) is now on the team. It's like they can only have 3 males and 1 female all the time.

In part 3 Ethan was already retired then brought back. Now they're on their 8th movie. Should've saved the retired bit. I liked Paula Patton in Ghost Protocol, wish she would have returned. A lot of people thought casting Jeremy Renner was going to pass the baton to him.

They need to think about expanding the franchise beyond 1 character. Ethan can even run the IMF and be in all the movies and play the Jon Voight role from the 1st movie, but have 1 or 2 additional teams doing missions.
