Way too early 53 man roster projection

Here's my best guess.

QB 3 - Carson, Sudfeld, Hurts. Probably the safest part of the projection except for K,P,LS.

RB 3 - Sanders, Scott, Holyfield. The fact that they didn't add anyone makes me think they like Holyfield as RB3. I don't see them adding a fourth guy.

TE 3 - Ertz, Goedert, Ellis. Like Holyfield above, the fact that they didn't add anyone makes me think he is safe. Perkins is basically a big wr, so I don't see him sticking next year.

WR 7 - Jackson, JJ, Ward, Reagor, Hightower, Watkins, Goodwin. I am guessing Alshon starts out on PUTP. Do they keep 7? My guess is yes because Desean and Goodwin aren't likely to stay healthy.

OL 10 - Brooks, Dillard, Kelce, Johnson, Seumalo, Mailata, Prince, Driscoll, Herbig, Pryor. Opeta has a shot here, and they may not keep Pryor.

DE  5 - Graham, Barnett, Sweat, Miller, Avery. I don't see them keeping Hall, since they have basically refused to play him up to this point. Avery beats out Ostman for the joker position. Mller seems to have a good upside, and I thought he played well last preseason.

DT 5 - Cox, Jackson, Hargrave, Ridgeway, Rush. Can easily see Huggins or Hector being the fifth guy.

LB 5 - Gerry, Edwards, Brown, Bradley, Taylor. Singleton and Riley will make it interesting, but I just don't see them being able to beat out the guys in front of them, and the draft picks will stick.

DB 9 - Slay, Maddox, Jones, McCleod, Mills, Parks, Robey-Coleman, LeBlanc, Wallace. Douglas probably sticks if they keep only 4 DTs, but I am guessing he has worn out his welcome. He needs a change in scenery. I don't know why they brought in Robey-Coleman, but I am sure there is a Schwartz connection in there somewhere.

Specialists 3. They are locks. Too bored to look them up. Jake, the punter and the LS.

Some notes. Ellis and Holyfield are probably the weakest links at this point. But I don't see the team keeping four at either position because they need to have a bunch of wrs. So unless they get beat out by an UDFA, I think they make the team. Some people will claim Mailata is going to get cut. That won't happen. His floor at this point is a swing tackle.

Don't forget UDFA's.

I think Holyfield and UDFA Killins will battle for #3. Loser ends up on PS.

Everything else looks logical.

That Killins kid is unreal. Obviously highlight tapes are what they are, but he was making everyone else look like they were running in cement shoes.

I think RB3, TE3 and LB5 are going to be pretty good battles. At LB, Jatavious Brown has a ton of speed, but he was benched by SD last year after a decent start to his career. So he's probably the third most shakiest guy, but he has experience, which everyone else besides Gerry is lacking. I could also see them signing a LB before the season.

Everywhere else is pretty solid, IMO. Maybe they will bring in a corner, but it seems like an odd thing to do when they could have just drafted one if there was a big concern there. But this team loves to tinker with the back end of the roster.

I can tell your retarded a** one thing

they ain’t keeping 7 WRs,  6 is even a stretch

How much do DJax, Alshon and Goodwin have left, realistically? Who is going to replace them when they retire/leave?

Sure, 7 receivers may seem like a lot now, but by the end of the season we will probably be down to five healthy ones. We may as well protect our draft picks from other teams as opposed to having to rely on PS guys again. And it seems dumb to draft 3 wrs in the most loaded wr class of all time just to cut one or two of them just to make sure they have a sixth lb/fourth rb who won't dress on gameday anyway.

But, you do you.

Unless they move him to OG where he should be playing, the Mailata experiment ends here.  He can't block anyone consistently.  He'd get Wentz killed.  Rugby gets cut

He has been improving and Last year he looked promising in the preseason. We will see.

I doubt we go 7 WRs. I think 6 is more likely. But, now that they have this speed, they might decide to go with only 2 TEs and not use 12 personnel that often.  I think the philosophy has changed, so it will be interesting to see if we use more singleback with 3 WRs or more empty backfield formations.

QB 3 - Carson, Sudfeld, Hurts

So our wasted 2nd round pick isn't even good enough to be the backup. Lmao. Btw I agree you have QBs in right order.

I don't think Hurts is ready to play right away. The real question is whether his mechanical issues are fixable. Apparently he took a huge step forward from his time at Bama to his time at Oklahoma. The only question is where his ceiling is. I have to believe that the Eagles think he can be a top 20 qb. And if they are right, it was a no brainer to take him there.

If he turns into Case Keenum/Jacoby Brissett, then they made a huge mistake. Just grab Eason or Fromm for that.

Just in general, I would rather take a second round qb every four years than pay a decent backup qb $10-$15 million per year, which is the direction those salaries are headed in. That part of the equation is something I definitely agree with.

I think this is a pretty good idea of what he brings to the table. Here he is against a defense that has Quinnell Williams, Mack Wilson, Raekwon Davis and six other guys either playing in the NFL right now or who were drafted this year.

It's every play he was on the field, so not a highlight reel. He wasn't drafted because he was considered too slow, but he doesn't look that way to me. To me, he looks like the kind of guy who would do well in our offense, since he has a burst to take the delayed handoffs we like so much, and can break through the first tackle.

He also seemed okay in pass protection.

It will be a battle for the #3 spot. But this kid looks like he belongs.

Back ups don’t get paid anywhere near those numbers.

Not right now, but we are looking two to three years from now. Hill just signed for $10 million a year. Case Keenum is $6 million a year. Tyrod Taylor is $5.5 million.  Foles is $8 million. Fitzpatrick is $5.5 million. Mariota got $9 million. $15 million may be an exaggeration, but a decent backup in two or three years is certainly going to be in the $10 million range.
