March 24Mar 24 It was scheduled to be delivered last Friday but my mother's eye surgery was Thursday and her followup visit was at the same time as when it was supposed to be delivered. I didn't want to leave a 65" TV sitting outside with nobody home so I set my account to 'vacation mode' so that it would be delivered today, which it was. The idiots decided to leave it in front of my garage though, and NOT on my front porch where it would be simple for me (alone, with a bad back and knees) to drag it into the house and be able to maneuver it around to a good spot. No, they put it in front of the garage where I (alone, with a bad back and knees) have to now figure out how to get it up 4 steps and around a steep angle... To avoid that angle, I had to take a door off it's hinge and I was able to take the TV out of the box (but left the Styrofoam base on it) and carefully drag it up the steps and into the house. Now I just need to get it hung on the mount, but that will have to wait for my brother to visit. I'll hook it up to a Roku to make sure it works ok, that way it'll be easier to initiate a return if it's screwed up.

I thought it would take years to find a bigger sissy-man than last Sunday's Sam Rockwell, but it barely took a week!

April 5Apr 5 Got the TCL TV hooked up and hung on the mount. So far I'm pretty happy with it, other than maybe the remote control but it always takes some getting used to when you switch to a different remote.
