Hawkeye
Eagles open getting a field goal at home and a high total. Side: 49ers - 3 Eagles (both sides are -105)Total: 49ML: Niners -170/Eagles +150 This time yesterday I would have projected the line closer to SF-5 but the Eagles performance vs. Atlanta on both sides of the ball - but particularly on offense - gives pause. Let's see how the week unfolds before making the pick. Last week: Eagles +170 money line (w); Eagles +3.5 (w).
Mike030270
Excited about this because of the roster we’ll go up against and the coach we’ll go up against. Good experience for our young guys and new coach

Procus
I think this is awesome. I want the Eagles to be underestimated as long as possible.

Worth a look. This could be a letdown game. In 2000, the week after the Pickle Juice game blowout in Dallas, Eagles laid an egg at home against the Giants. In 2013, lost a see saw game at home against the Chargers after surprising the nation by beating Mike Shanahan's Redskins handily in DC. Niners are a talented and well coached squad. Good test for Sirianni et al.

On the other hand, home field advantage and an early kickoff for a west coast team play to the Eagles. This is the real test....(no? Too soon?)

Good test for Sirianni et al. That 2000 game wasn't really an egg - the Giants went 12-4, won the NFC championship, and had the Eagles' number that year, solidly beating the Eagles three times (twice in the regular season, once in the playoffs). The Eagles were also coming off a 5-11 season in 1999. Losing at home to the Chargers in 2013 also wasn't that bad a loss; San Diego went 9-7 and made the playoffs. The Eagles were also coming off a 4-12 season in 2012.

EazyEaglez
49ers lost Mosert for the season with a torn ACL. I don’t wish bad on anyone, but that does help the Eagles. If the Eagles can make the 49ers on dimensional it does bode well for their chances of winning. 35 minutes ago, UK_EaglesFan89 said: My thoughts exactly. Uscg-green
SF is a SB contending team. Only a three point dog is actually showing us more respect than I expected.

SB52
@Hawkeye Where are you seeing +3 -105? Truth be told, I’d take SF -3. All I’m seeing is 3.5 and a 4. (I’d still root for the Eagles. 3 is just too good to pass up, though.)

birdman#12
Eagles 34 49ers 24 I'm expecting the eagles to force 2 turnovers with one being a defensive score.......5 sacks. Hurts throws for 2 TD's and 1 INT RBs by committee grinds out 125+ on the ground and 2 TDs The WRs have modest, but productive days......with maybe one big play. The TEs are more involved. Feels like they are buying in 100% to the coaching staff, and really taking to what they are teaching. Plus I think Sirriani barely scratched the surface of what this offense has in store. He didn’t need to reach very deep into the playbook against Atlanta and just kept it basic because that’s all that was needed to win that game. I think the Niners will start cheating up a bit more to stop all the runs and short passes they see on film, then Hurts gets some shots deep to Smith, Reagor and Quez… which is another key: When is the last time we can remember the Eagles having this much speed in their top 3 receivers?

And I mean this is partly it bud... They've got so much speed and such a good OL that actually that's pretty hard to stop. If they game plan well and execute properly then they are going to be a handful for teams.

Jackson and Maclin come to mind for at least 2 WR spots but, even then those 2 we're hardly ever healthy together
