I chalk that up to instincts of being a right handed QB. Running right keeps his throwing option alive to a greater extent because he can hit the whole field (in theory). Body mechanics and passing vision are more limited when going left unless he has time to set his feet. He just habitually goes right at this point

Well it's a bad habit that he should work on, he has to be able throwing on the run from each side equally well.

It's nothing more that practice, in fact he may find that he's more accurate throwing while running left regardless of needing a little more time to set his feet and/or contort his body, time that he should have with the left side playing relativity well.

agreed. He probably has more time to the left anyway, he just needs to unlearn the habit and learn to make the decision based on the situation. Practice reps

Consider for a moment the best run defense in the NFL tried to stop the Eagles run game and was embarrassed trying. In other words people the Eagles can run the ball on anybody anytime. 50 carries 242 yards and 3 touchdowns against the best. That is 4.8 a carry. I heard Aikman say at one point the Cowboys offense was averaging 1.8 yards a pass. No team should ever be on dimensional, but if the team can play up to its strengths than it should. Just like when Dak got to Dallas he gave the ball to Zeke until he became a better passer that what the Eagles need to do with Hurts. This offense is exciting and dynamic in its own way. Many they probably have a couple more wins if they just did this sooner.

Reagor, Sanders, Scott, Gainwell, Howard and Watkins have been brutally underutilized

Getting back to the underutilization, I'm trying to understand what's going on with Watkins, is he not getting open or does Hurts have tunnel vision?

I know Gainwell's issue, Sirianni is just too stupid to play him in the slot but Watkins, dude doesn't even get targets worth a damn......me no understand.

He is getting targets. But right now we are running it like two thirds, and the throws go to Smith and Goedert for the most part, for good reason.

He still got some catches, and if he had one more his statline would look decent.

He's not getting enough as far as I'm concerned.

When teams start to fully commit to stop the run, we‘ll throw it more.

Well, it goes to Hurts development.......he's getting better, but has a long way to go.  Because of this, his reads are still too slow, and he's not "throwing his receivers open".  With fast guys and deep throws, a QB has to launch it before he can see the receiver pull away.....and he has to throw it in a way the receiver can go get it.  Sometime he has to really drill it to beat the safety coming over.....

All things that can be learned and developed over time.  Plus, Sirianni isn't calling alot of passing plays to the RBs......

This is the NFL. You want targets then earn it and when the quarterback drops a dime in your lap then you better catch it. Personally I think they should take these screens from Reagor and give them to Watkins. I believe in him more than Reagor right now.

He will get there VA.  He is growing as a an from week to week.   I like how he is progressing in the ball protection department which is the most important thing to improve on. Something wentz was regressing in somehow.

I think he should bench Reagor for like half a game to light a fire under his ass.

I wonder who’s idea is it to keep getting him opportunities. He just looks lost out there.

Smitty, Reagor and Hurts seem real close. Might be a feel-good thing the coach doesn‘t want to risk.

Exactly, put it up and let the WR go get it, shouldn't he understand that by now?  I think he has tunnel vision, there's no way in hell Watkins should be getting 1, 2, maybe 3 targets a game.

Believe me when I tell you, nothing is going to change with Reagor, he is what he is, a damn scrub!!

Any coach with two brains cells to rub together wouldn't care anything about friends, rule #1, put your best players on the field.

One thing that's killing me, damn near every week you hear the commentators talk of Reagor's speed, I hope everyone knows what I saw early, Reagor doesn't have speed worth talking about, and as soon as he catches a ball he heads to the sidelines......get rid of him!!

The problem with Reagor is that his best game (deep ball) is Hurts' most challenged component.  There is no way to use a deep threat effectively if the QB can't deliver that ball consistently in those positions.  Same goes for Watkins.

But at least Watkins has made deep plays and to be fair I'm not seeing any speed with Reagor to suggest he could get open deep.

When is the last deep ball that Watkins has caught?  Or anyone else, for that matter?  I don't mean a short one that they break either.

This offense has terrific deep speed, but a QB that can't deliver to it to those areas of the field consistently YET.  He may be able to someday, but having to depend on Quez and Reagor to run terrific underneath routes isn't happening YET either.

The last deep pass thrown to Watkins he dropped. 🤷‍♂️ It’s Hurts fault apparently, because he didn’t teleport himself to Watkins and actually firmly put it in his hands.

Don‘t be silly. He just is too inaccurate to get the ball stuck in Watkins helmet.

Hey he almost got it stuck to Goedert’s helmet, but his arm was too weak to do it. 😂🤣😂
