Overall Howie is a terrible in picking talent. This comes from many sports writers. He has exceeding high failure rate picking talent. Giving Wentz 128 million contract was a bonehead mistake. Why would you give Wentz who was declining after his injury in 2017. The only job Howie can do is taking care of the cap money. Most fans feel uncomfortable with Howie picking 3 first round draft choices.

Wish this MB had a !remindme option like Reddit. But come back to me in Feb. this Cowboys team is likely winning the SB. It’s going to be painful. They’ve got a rookie playing like a HOFer (Parsons), another young player looking like prime Deion (Diggs), and missing two of their best D linemen. Imagine once they get those two guys back. 
 

Their offense is solid with a chain moving QB, at worst, and a league leader at best  

it’s going to be tough to watch. But hopefully it’s a wake up call for Lurie to get some f’ing body in that draft room that can hold a f’ing candle to what the Cowboys have been able to do. And get Roseman the F outta there.

Hope you are right. Sincerely hope so. But the way the NFC is shaping up, they’re the most balanced, talented and healthy squad. 

What specifically about their coaching concerns you? Quinn has turned that D around. McCarthy has taken multiple GB teams deep into the playoffs, including a SB.

Quinn is a dope, McCarthy even worse. He has no clue and no balls. His success is that everywhere he went he had a star QB. All he offers is empty platitudes.

His last couple drafts aren’t looking too bad right now, other than Reagor. He needs to absolutely nail the 2022 draft to redeem himself for some of the trash picks he made before that though.

Jefferson would never would have had that rookie season here....Wentz was bad, Pedersen didn't like playing young guys and the team in general was a mess.  I don't know how that would have affected jefferson.....but it certainly would have affected his numbers.

I still think Reagor may turn out to be ok, have seen many super fast guys in the NFL start out shaky and then after you give up on em suddenly you look up and they're really good.  

I personally wanted Howie out myself after last year for a combination of the Hurts pick and the Dallas Goedert pick because we needed neither at the time.  but I'm almost certain that Hurts is the real deal.  He should've been a first rounder, he's better than Jordan Love and probably Tua.  Also the trade with Miami this past year was great, and so was trading up to pick Devonta.  The latter was especially good because assuming Reagor stays a flop, doing the same for 2 wideouts in a row in successive drafts would've been way too much so it was a brave pick.  I also love our offensive line being the very best in the league not only right now but in recent years if they keep playing like they have been.  and on top of that, all that is after losing 2 of the best guards in the league to injury!

I was really glad bonehead Doug got fired, his decisions made me sick.  but Howie definitely shows signs of learning from his mistakes.  They might just be in position to draft 3 defensive players in the 1st round next year.   If that happens we will be competitive for the next 4-5 years, it's almost guaranteed.

I’m ok with howie with contracts and trading, collecting draft pics, etc.   but I want him away from the draft selections. He can be in the war room and maybe negotiate trade pick swap compensations but not selecting the player.   
 

I would be making my call to Dawkins now if I’m lurie and asking him to do his homework for the next draft because they are going defense early and often and would really like have him co-sign every defender drafted in this draft because we can’t f this draft off on defensive busts.  I don’t want howie part of any discussion of talent potential for potential players to be drafted. Period.   
 

Screw howie he will f this up I can feel it. drafting is hard and the more drafts under your belt doesn’t really make it easier because you get haunted by your busts and it creates bias’s and second guessing.  And that’s exactly where how is at right now.

the drawback of turning the season around..those picks drop in draft order...If Jordan Davis is still on the board I have no doubt that Howie takes him..but ti would have to be Miami's pick because as the wins pile up our original pick drops more and more...right now it's looking like the Colts pick may turn into a first...but anything  can happen of course...

I think the way he f’ed up the WR position will haunt us more.  You draft DK and/or Jefferson you may still have Wentz here and this is a completely diff team.  Probably don’t need to draft Davonte Smith either and likely would’ve been drafting lower anyway and unable to get him.  Drafting JJAW and Reagor essentially set this team back 5 years minimum the way I see it.

Yep, if I am the GM, and the majority of this board agrees, our skill guys are Kamara, Metcalf and Jefferson

I'm beginning to get the feeling that passing on Jefferson may be what finally brings Howie down.  This is becoming a league-wide embarrassment for the Eagles organization.  And as others have said, it may have cost the organization Wentz (though I think there were other compelling reasons for his decision to ask for a trade).

Howie is no doubt having Nick play Reagor even though Reagor is terrible.  Howie has way too much power and his talent evaluation is bad when it comes to certain positions like WR.  We will have to sit through another year of watching Reagor screwing up because Howie's ego won't allow the coaches to find a better solution.

No we have been in cap hell, that's why during FA we haven't attracted the better available talent, we simply didn't have the money to pay them.
