On the other hand I think you could argue that he’s exactly the kind of candidate Republicans need to hold onto that seat.

I think he's exactly the kind of candidate that will hand that seat to the Democrats on a silver platter. Time will tell.

I agree that he’s a horrible choice and it’s disgraceful that he even won the nomination.  I just think it’s odd you dislike him for being from a different country and because he supported Oprah.

You clearly missed my point.

I find it odd the GOP picked an Oprah liberal snake oil salesman who holds Turkish citizenship to be the PA choice for senator.

Not sure what is so odd about not caring much for Oprah and the people she shilled for.

Or not wanting people with foreign citizenship to be senators.

Fox News ties and Trump’s blessing is what Republican voters like, not just in PA, but in pretty much every state.

I think it brings him a core group of nutjobs sure. But does very little to expand on that base. Especially against someone like Fetterman.

I think it takes more than that but, we'll see soon enough.

So PA gets Lerch vs The Wizard of Oz.

Awesome.

Dr. Oz says he'll fight to end illegal immigration. A business owned by his family, in which he is a shareholder, faced the largest fine in ICE history for hiring undocumented workers.

Sounds like par for the course.

For PA Senate!!!

Trump challenges of election 'designed to damage and disenfranchise' says Pennsylvania lieutenant governor - ABC News

So nice to see the GOP accepting foreigners for a change.

Wanting to elect them to office is a bit weird.

This 100%  /\/\/\/\

Mastriano makes Oz look sane. I think that may help Oz. There's probably more people here that would split their senate/governor ticket than many states, with it being pretty 50/50.

But Fetterman may just be the guy. Remember there was a significant overlap in 2016 of voters interested in both Trump and Bernie. (Yet another reminder that Trump is in no way a conservative) Fetterman is a guy who is goin to appeal to marginal voters in this category. It doesn't shock me that Oz is currently 10 pts behind on some of these polls.

I wouldn't be comfortable at less than 12-14 in this state but still.

Fetterman's one of the very few rising Dem stars right now.

Where is Dr. Oz?   Nobody has heard from him since the primary.

Maybe he went back home to New Jersey.

Both choices suck.

PA has done a famously poor job with both the senate and gubernatorial selections offered up.

He's gonna renounce his foreign citizenship ANY day now.

Any day.

Fetterman found Dr. Oz?

Fetterman trolling him for being a carpetbagger is hilarious

Republicans have put up horrible senate candidates, they may actually lose a seat or two

They might lose PA, but they’ll pick up seats in other states.  Likely end up with a 2-4 seat majority.
