There ARE fans who really like The Acolyte, even if they are ignoring bad writing and acting but like it because of representation and diversity, or because they enjoy the "upset the white male SW fan" concept. The movie they make to wrap up the post-ROTJ story with Thrawn, Ahsoka, etc. will probably do well. Plus, even though we don't like The Acolyte they're getting the views the day it comes out, or a day or 2 after. Even if people hate watch it, they can show it's making them money and keep making content. Their issue is the Acolyte cost $180m to film and it's at best. badly written fanfic that should be on left Reddit or Tumblr. Ratings are reportedly lower than Andor and Ahsoka too, so any business that is run well should like look at the cost/benefit analysis and cut their losses on the whole thing. Most fans aren't watching and it's become a meme for how awful it is. I hate to say it, but Star Wars is a dead franchise run and financed by morons. They've chucked money at it and come out with 1 decent film, 1 average film and 3 series of live action content that are watchable. Sadly, I think no one is going tow watch the Ahsoka film because no one really watched the TV series and you need to do homework to know who all the people are in it.
June 17, 20241 yr A non-Acolyte Star Wars lol. Someone in an Australian Ad Agency knows how lightsabers work...

June 17, 20241 yr It's definitely got review bombed when a movie with the same name is getting negative Star Wars reviews lol Spoiler The show really lost me with the evil twin copout but then it's just been adding on. Had no idea of the budget until this weekend and I'm curious on how that's possible The sister was so mad she tried to kill her twin but ended up burning the whole place down (how did it spread like that?) and then blame the Jedi for killing her family. I've seen people explain it that she felt if the Jedi never came then her twin wouldn't have betrayed her and she wouldn't have had to set the fire

Spoiler I've seen some suggestions that ep 3 was not necessarily the only perspective that will play out in the series and will lead into a mystery being solved/revealed. I've left it vague but some suggestions are that a yet to be revealed character is Spoiler One of the mothers, that survived the stone fire. Hence the mystery as it will ruin the deaths of the Witches of Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaany if it is revealed now. Miss Marple or Hercule Poirot, it's not.

June 18, 20241 yr This thought has been stolen from smarter people, but would it be possible for 2 male witches to create a baby using the "Thread"? Or na. Over to you Disney

June 18, 20241 yr The irony with the 15% is there are people positive review bombing it to get the score up.

June 19, 20241 yr Author They talk about negative review bombing. But I see social media posts loaded with positive review bombing clearly bots that repeat the same sentences.
June 19, 20241 yr I've moved this "show" into the Rocky 5, and Dexter New Blood Category.... I'm just pretending they never happened.
