July 19, 20241 yr Yeah. He understands how to build a series, understands the business of TV and would be there to help any inexperienced showrunner etc with the tips and tricks of the industry. I just don't think that Lucasfilm would allow someone like that to get in the way of the exec interference.
July 22, 20241 yr so, in the end, a cover up was resolved by ....................................................................................................... Â Â Â another cover up.Â
July 22, 20241 yr Yikes. Those ratings are a dumpster fire. even if they are incomplete. And yikes. These people are degenerates Â

August 20, 20241 yr I'm surprised the pet project that left Kennedy in tears when pitched got cancelled...
August 20, 20241 yr  Even the new video game is about a female lead. How come no one ever cries about diversity when it comes to Disney Princess movies?  Â
August 20, 20241 yr Honestly I didn't think the Acolyte was that much worse than the Book of Boba Fett. Which wasn't good but got a pass in some cases because...Boba Fett. This didn't have any nostalgic characters to rely on the salvage itself though. Oh well...

August 20, 20241 yr As for the Acolyte, it cost $200m to make and got the lowest ratings for a SW programme while owned by Disney. It also suffered a lot of viewer atrophy as time went on, which should be a death knell to any program. Andor had low ratings, but grew them over the series and it ended up on Hulu right? We can talk about the bad story and acting, but the practical realities are it didn't perform. If it was $50m or less to make or maintained a rating, then perhaps it might have stood a chance. Not even KK can justify spending that again on a failure. Sadly, they tried to tease Darth Plagueis for season 2 to hook people in, but that wasn't enough to save it and may even harm introducing that character into the Universe. And they think there is an audience for the Rey movie.Â
